"Would you rather have all been shot?" Xander snarled. "You've seen what an idiotic move t is to send guys with guns down there, most of the civilian casualties were caused by fucking cops."

Danielle stiffened this touch, but didn't dare move, letting him stroke her as she answered him. "There are five of them." She responded. "Three boys and two girls. Names are Kailen, Ryan, Aaric, Zoey and Kat. I possessed two of the five over the fight. Xander Xavier still leads them."

[Raven]

"Well then why bother when we're doing badly?" Kailen asked.

"Oh, good." She could hear the grin in his voice. "I've missed playing with Xavier. I wonder if he's scrambling yet, or if that's just the suits." His hand tightened painfully around her hair. "What are the powers?"

[Gifted]

"To incapacitate whoever she's possessed who's giving you the problems."
"Nice to know you would've shot me." Katiyana replied, though her tone never wavered. "At any rate, if nothing else this simply proves the neccessity of a lot more training. I for one, am alarmed by the fact that she could use our powers better than we can."

"Water." Danielle responded. "And Ice. Shields. Kinetic energy manipulation. Cellular adaptation. And soundwave manipulation."

[Raven]

"You think they'll be able to handle us but not her?" Kailen drilled.

"So find a way to catch them or to kill them," Red said. "You don't need to take them out yet, but you will." He pulled his fingers carefully through her hair, and then walked a few paces away.

[Gifted]

"Of course. Sir," Danielle nodded.

"I think there's less of a chance every one of them are getting controlled when she's already possessing someone whose working well for her."

[Raven]

"If it's that easy for them to shoot us, you'd think she'd just make them," Kailen said.

"Go practice," Red ordered.

[Gifted]

"Yes, sir." Danielle turned and headed off into the lair without daring to object."

"Numbers advantage." Xander muttered. Kat left the room, wanting to train. She wanted to figure out how Danielle had done that ice ramp thing.

[Raven]

"When do you think she'll attack again?" Aaric said, still shivering under his blanket.

[Gifted]

"Don't know. She doesn't exactly keep a schedule." Xander replied.

[Raven]

"Still, people have patterns," Aaric said.

[Gifted]

"And she knows that. We think she's working an an active attempt to avoid a trackable pattern. Which really only tells us when she's not going to strike."

[Raven]

Aaric sighed. "Okay, when is she not going to strike?"

[Gifted]

"It won't be in three days, that's what she did last time," He pulled up a calender on one of his screens, where they had days marked with an X at seemingly random intervals. "And it won't be in seven because that starts an alternating pattern. any time before, between or after those is dangerous."

[Raven]

"Terrific," Aaric said. Then he smirked. "Can we look into getting hand warmers? Enough that we can throw them at Kat."

Xander nodded. "A heat source will be brought as soon as it can be obtained."
