Meanwhile, I was playing an iPad game when there was a blip and a message popped up. She had texted me. I sighed and closed my game to see what she had to say.
The devil has arrived.
"Shit!" I swore loudly and nearly dropped the thing.

Most of the others were still doing the same things. Trace was off in a corner on her own now, playing a game or something on her phone, and Allison had abandoned Phoebe to try to mooch food off Catherine, and it looked like Vivian had finally fallen asleep, but other than that it looked pretty much the same.
I looked over. "Yeah... yeah Kenny, I'm fine." After checking to make sure no one else was around, I took my mask off with a sigh. I looked very worried. "I've just received some very bad news from our spy." I handed him the tablet.

Kenny glanced at her before reading it. He sat down. After a moment, he said, "We did know this would come, and we've had plenty of time to prepare... Gifted, I will do everything in my power to keep you safe. You know that."
I decided to come sit near Mia and Catherine. I'd replaced my mask, though I felt a little guilty wearing it around them. Kenny could read memories, and it wouldn't be good for that to be the way they identified me. "Hey," I greeted the girls.

"Yeah, but it's a little different now that it's here..." I bit my lip. "We need to call everyone together. Joan, Anita, Adam, Kailen, Jade, everyone. Stop sending people out to destroy evil people... there's no time for that until the devil is dead. They're all on their own established timelines anyway, anything they do I'd have known about beforehand. Set up a patrol, and send out a new spy, the one we have has a high probability of expiring soon."
Catherine looked up, and her face split into a rare smile. "Hey. You the new official owner of Rakel's mask, then?" Catherine smirked.
"It's so great to finally meet you!" Allison chimed in, stealing food off Catherine's plate while she was distracted.

I laughed. "Yep, I guess so," I answered, and smirked at Allison, though she couldn't see it. That was kind of frustrating.
Kenny nodded. "Right away... We will get through this." He hurried to call the others in right away.
