Holy Wars

[Raven]

Kenny had spent most of the time since being locked up in a restless sleep, never quite drifting off, but rarely fully awake with so little to occupy himself with. Ryan and Lynn were on the second floor, quietly eating and chatting. Dianna was groggily staring at the cage, while Kailen (despite his long nap), Awhina, and I were still asleep.

Xander was watching the third floor, exhausted but stubbornly insistent that someone guard the intel. Stephanie and Becky were asleep upstairs, and Olivia was guarding the prisoners. She was curious about me, and had jumped at the chance to watch the prisoners. Adrian was in the lounge, up on guard duty but slacking off.

"There are people on the second floor." Victor said quietly.
"Let's just avoid them. Keep quiet." Vivian said. They crept past as Hazel disappeared and grabbed Francis to deposit him at the top of the stairs.

Francis prepared his rifle, keeping watch for any sign they had been detected, but Ryan and Lynn remained sleepily in the kitchens.

Hazel dropped Mariah and then Erin in the room on the top floor, but not even Mariah was willing to kill sleeping opponents. She glanced at Erin and pulled her gun. She aimed at the ceiling and threw a questioning look at Erin.

"Just Xander on this floor." Victor said. He held up his radio. "Carol, Xander is the only one on this floor. I'm moving to engage."

[Raven]

"Why would we want to alert the enemies we're here? Let's just get downstairs and secure the Director," Erin muttered, drawing her gun and moving down the hall.

[Gifted]

Mariah nodded and put her gun away, hurrying downstairs towards the jail cells.

[Raven]

"It's quiet, it seems like we should be able to get out of here without too many problems," Erin muttered.

[Gifted]

"Hopefully it'll be that easy." Mariah nodded.

Victor stepped into the room with Xander. "I've got him." He said. "Viv, you get the info."
Xander tensed and shot a fireball, but Victor sidestapped it easily and fell upon the more experienced fighter. The fire set off the fire alarm.

[Raven]

Instantly, people were awake. Ryan and Lynn came up the stairs; Kenny stood up, looking at Olivia; Kailen flinched, still exhausted despite hours of sleep; I stumbled groggily out of bed and fumbled for the radio. Awhina rubbed her eyes.

I groaned and clutched my ears, the only one still slow on the uptake. Olivia tensed, but she was guarding the cell. She couldn't run off to help.
Mariah picked up the pace, but Adrian made it out into the hall and intercepted them. Mariah fired a bullet in his direction that Adrian avoided before taking cover behind a doorframe, his blow dart missing her by a second.

[Raven]

Erin blurred Adrian's vision. "Come on," she said, urging Mariah to keep going.

At the top of the stairs, Francis took aim and pulled the trigger. If his aim was accurate - which it always was - Adrian would be pierced through the lower chest. It wasn't an immediately fatal shot, but it would definitely turn bad fast, and Adrian wouldn't still be standing after taking it.

Ryan and Lynn burst in the room on the third floor, and immediately took head shots against Vivian.

"Olivia, you need to get out of here. You're going to lose people, probably even if the team has you to help, if they don't, you're going to be decimated," Kenny said, the concern and worry clear in his voice.

Adrian couldn't see, and was focused on Erin, so he didn't even see the shot coming. He was hit exactly where Francis has aimed and he was down with one shot. His blow dart gun rolled out of his hand. "Thanks Francis!" Mariah shouted, and dashed out down the stairs toward the floor with the cells.

"I can't leave their objective unguarded!" Olivia said, but she looked anxious and tense. It didn't matter anyway, as at that point Olivia and Erin made it into the room.
Mariah drew her gun. "You can get in our way or you can go help your friends not die. Your choice, Olivia."

Becky was already stirring when the alarm went off, but she leaped to her feet at the gunshot. Sparking with energy she dashed to the or of the stairway, opened it and sent a violent shock of electricity at the sniper she found there.

Stephanie was up too, but Becky was blocking her way. She had nothing but a small un to fight with, but he was anxious to find Kailen and make sure he was okay, and help where she could.

[Raven]

Francis jolted and tried to pull his hand gun, but just then Kailen appeared, bleary eyed, and knocked Francis upside the head. The sniper slumped to the floor. Kailen leaned against the wall.

Kenny stayed quiet, but he watched anxiously and nudged Gifted to try to wake her.
Erin was practically shaking, she was so worried about whether she had just watched Adrian die.

"Thanks Kailen." Becky said. "Come on, we have assholes to fight." She grinned and ran off. She was always at her most exhilarated in large fights like this.

I opened my eyes and blearily saw the two girls who'd come to rescue me. "Erin? Mariah?"

Vivian lost a copy and had to split again and again, until there were four of her ready to take on Ryan and Lynn. Lynn might have noticed that compared to the other agents, Vivian's intentions were less dark - she was one of the only ones still trying not to kill. Two Vivians returned fire at both with their guns - aiming at their knees - while the other two lunged at Ryan.

Ryan moved aside and pulled the trigger on one of them before the other reached him and he sent a kick at her shin.
"Xander, how are you doing?" Lynn asked, the bullet grazing her leg has she shot at one of the Vivian's who was shooting.

"Come on, we're getting you out," Erin said.

"Hey, Steph," Kailen said, smiling
