"Yeah, I guess itmakes sense she'd give her protection to you.

Anita was alone in her room, studying for her exams. With money no longer an object she'd chosen to go to medical school and become a nurse, but it meant many more years of schooling than most other degrees. "Oh hey Kenny," She said, smiling as he came into the room. "Sorry I can'thang out today... lots of studying to do..."

[Raven]

Kenny normally would have been perfectly content to watch her study, but this was an emergency. "We just got word that the devil has appeared," he informed her, quietly.

"I'm very grateful for everything she, and all of the rest of you have done for me," I said. "But I never would have let her give it to me if it were actually going to keep her safe."

Anita turned so quickly she knocked a textbook to the ground. "What?"

"It wouldn't?" Catherine was confused. "But it keeps her identity hidden.."

[Raven]

I shook my head. "The Black Rose has always been and will always be Rakel Meusemore as such, she's very Kenny identifiable by that. Even without seeing her, if someone were to describe her, I would know exactly who they meant. You are as identifiable by certain characteristics as you are by your face. Like your adaptation ability, Catherine, mostly your shield. Or Xander's eye patch. Or Rakel's mask. Their powers are pretty good indicators as well. It's unlikely for two people to have the exact same ability."

"Oh.. well it's a good thing she took that off then?" Catherine shrugged. "I dunno, I'm just glad I'm around to see this. Trace says where she comes from Rakel murdered me. Which I don't know if I believe, considering how well she and I get along." Catherine laughed.

[Raven]

"Well, the enemy of my enemy is my friend, right? You have a common goal here. You can trust Rakel, don't worry about that."

[Gifted]

"It'd be kind of disastrous not too, she was the one leading this whole thing until you came along. Two and a half years, apparently. I only joined in the last six months, I'm not even important enough to know the name of the spy we've got in there yet." Catherine laughed.
"I am!" Allison giggled. "I've been with Black Rose since the start!"

[Raven]

I blinked at Allison. "You have? You seem pretty young. Why did you decide to help?"

[Gifted]

"I don't like the way she runs things. Or the world in general actually. If she's God, then she's been up in heaven making decisions on how the world works before now, hasn't she? Well, I don't like the world. I can't believe someone would allow so much cruelty and unhappiness to exist unless they were cruel themselves. But if you win, then you decide how the world works from now on, not her! You could remake the whole thing, if you wanted to. You could make the whole world into something beautiful." Allison sighed, smiling at the thought.

[Raven]

I didn't look surprised, and I didn't object. I had been partially in control of this world, and there was no way I'd remake it without hardship, even if I could. "How old are you?" I asked instead.

[Gifted]

"Twelve and a half!" She said proudly.
((I know technically she should be like thirteen and a half if she found out this was what she wanted at eleven but I don't want to play her too far from her expected age so fuck logic cx))

I nodded. "Well, it's nice to meet you, Allison." I offered her a hand to shake.

She shook Ravens hand eagerly. "Oh, this is so exciting! I can't wait!"

[Raven]

"And I want everyone to know that if they have any worries, or problems, they can come to me. I'd like to hear it," I said.

Catherine nodded. "I'll be sure to let everyone know."
"Hey Cath." Trace came over from the corner she'd been sitting in on her own. "I beat your high score."
"No way! No you didn't, gimme that." Catherine snatchedthe phone away from Trace and Trace smiled.
