A loud screech came from her owls cage as it fluffed out it's feathers, eying the cat menacingly. "Maybe I should just let him out." Nezzera said, playing with the latch to her owls cage.

"And prove you really are a heartless git," Jeremy responded, sitting down in the seat farthest from her and holding his cat close to his chest.

Nezzera looked to him and then to the cat, looking at it longingly. Cats were never accepted by her family.

Nezzera smiled for just a moment before hiding it.She scooted closer and reached her had out for the cat to sniff.

The kitten looked frightened, pressing closer to her daddy. She reached out a tentative paw and batted at Nezza's hand with her claws sheathed.

Nezzera backed away from the cat and then looked out the window. "Well that was stupid."

"She's just not used to you yet, you have to give her time," Jeremiah said as the kitten extended her head towards her.

Nezzera slowly reached her hand out again, waiting for the kitten to sniff it.

The kitten did, and then pressed her head against her hand. Jeremy smiled.

Nezzera began to lightly stroke that cats head, worried profusely that she would hurt the small creature.

The kitten began to purr and crawled over to Nezzera's lap, starting to knead her.

Nezzera continued to to pet the kitten, her owl now looking curious, not so much ferocious. "What's its name again?"
