"That's good," Tabitha said, smiling slightly. "And I think it's probably a good thing at this point. In the beginning, adrenaline numbs the pain, but by now that would have worn off. With what she did to you, it would be horrible if not for the morphine.

"Twas what... two days ago now? The doctors thin they go'me patched up smuch s'they can, n they said I shoul' be fine now t'le'me naturally heal. I know twas neccessary earlier but now.. whatever. I use'ta be a surgeon b'fore I came here, I know somewha wha'm talkin 'bout" Tony wished he wasn't so foggy from the morphine, he must sound like complete and total idiot.
