Dammit! Pride cursed under her breath. If you had to pin one weakness on her in a physiical fight, that would be it. Not only would it be impossible to resist attack when h had her by the throat, but Pride couldn't hold her breath very long. She'd pass out for suure.
I musn't let him know he shaken me up, She scolded herself. She was being an idiot. She doubted he'd be fast enough to grab her by the throat and since she couldn't feel muscle exertion, she could push herself past her limit getting him off. "Bring it, asshole,"

Preston lifted her by the throat, still pressing her against the wall. He was watching her face. "Stop it!" Emily shouted, hitting him. He ignored her, making it even more obvious that Emily wasn't very strong.

Pride had been expecting it, but that kid moved fast. He had her pinned against the wall before she had a chance to even move. She wasn't panicing yet, there was a scowl on her face. She kicked him, right where it hurts.,

Preston dropped her, falling to his hands and knees with obvious pain. He groaned.

Pride smirked at him. She hadn't even broken a sweat!
"Looks like someone doesn't know who they're messing with." Pride said.
Watching from the doorway just out of sight, Mary smirked. It would be entertaining to break this one. If she needed to of course. But she couldn't help hoping for it. That Tony guy had thought he was all that but he was really quite boring, no fun for Mary at all.

Preston extended his arms slightly, again moaning in pain.

Pride was still tense, ready to dodge if he tried anything funny.

Vixie looked at Pride. "Thanks," she murmured.

"No problem, I just like messing around with the scientists like Mr. Angry Kitten over here," Pride said to Vixie, still keeping a close eye on the scientist in question.
((I JUST thought of that nickname. You like? ))

[Raven]

Vixie laughed. "Yeah. This place bugs me."

"No joke. I get my shots in where I can,"

"I was laughing at his new nickname," Vixie said, still smiling slightly.

"oh, thanks. Glad they amuse someone else. I've been making them since I showed up here." She shrugged. "But the majority of the scientists come and go between rooms, so the names never stick long, unfortunatley." She sighed, turning her mback on Mr. Angry Kitten, who was still whimpering in pain on the floor and went over and sat down on the couch, prettyy much satisfied this guy wasn't taking Vixie anywhere.

Preston's hand shot out and caught Vixie's ankle. She gasped as he pulled her feet out from under her. He was to his feet in a matter of seconds. "I really would love to leave with Ms. De Buren," he said.

Annnnnd she should've seen that coming. Pride jumped over the top of the couch and was on her feet just as fast. "Not gonna happen," she snapped. "Can't you take a hint and leave?" She was ready to attack.
