"Coming!" exclaimed Jay, running after Violet.
A dark shadow fell over the group. Any who looked up would see a menacing silhouette. With a loud roar, it descended, and landed with a loud THUMP in front of the group.
"I HAVE TOLD YOU TIME AND TIME AGAIN," shouted the dragon in Draconic, "AND YOU CONTINUE TO NOT HEED MY WARNINGS. NOW, I WILL--" It glared down at Violet, Jay, and the quivering hound before switching to Common. "What in the Nine Hells are you doing here?"
It was at least ten feet tall, even though it was sitting on its haunches. The black dragon looked to be juvenile age. Its expression was a mixture of surprise and pissed-offness.

"Um..." I glanced at Jay, edging towards the elf and away from the dragon.

I crouched with my sword drawn, I might not be very much help if it attacked though.

Jay looked back at Violet, and gave a slight shrug.
"I absolutely despise talking to humanoids, especially elves," spat the black dragon, glaring down at Jay, "but, desperate times call for desperate measures." It lowered its neck so that it was at eye level with them. "Where is the damned green?" Its nostrils flared, horrible green gas drifting out of them and dispersing in the air.

"We're here to try to cure the infection that has been spreading. But what do you mean, the green?" I asked in Common, for Jay's benefit.

I shot a glare at him, then, to the dragon in Draconic, "What is the Green? Is is indeed a dragon?"
