"We could look elsewhere. I doubt the water will help," I said.

"Maybe... well, shall we go?"

I looked up at Jay, asking what he thought.

Jay shrugged in response to Violet. "We could come back to the swamp another time to investigate," he suggested.

I nodded, turning and starting back through the trees.

I followed, not wanting to jump out of the tree just yet.

The forest looked particularly forest-y on this fine forest afternoon.
Forest.

Well, we were in a forest. In fact, we had been in a forest for a while. Vickas was in a tree, pointing more to the conclusion, which was totally accurate, that we were in a forest. After a while, the pure forest-y-ness of it got to me. "Is there nothing of note to be found out here?! The most exciting thing that's happened since earlier was finding those tracks back there! I wouldn't mind it if we weren't actually trying to accomplish something!"

Before they were too far away from the swamp:
"TRESSPAAAASSSERRRR!"
The roar shook the forest to its very core; birds fled the canopy, animals dashed away, and even Vickas' dog was worried. Jay instictively drew his swords, and turned towards the source, the swamp.
"I. WILL. GET. YOU!"
"I do not understand dragon," Jay said, referencing the loud Draconic roaring, "but that does not sound friendly."

"Well um...Jay, he said that um...he's gonna get us..."

"Exactly. Not friendly at all." Jay looked at the two, and then further into the forest. "We must go. Unless you two wish to face a dragon, in which case I will accompany you. I do not reccomend it, however." There was a very worried look on his face.
"THIS FOREST IS MINE."
"I really do not reccomend it," he added, "I have never heard of one outrunning a dragon, but we may as well try."

Drawing my sword I nodded," We can try to get out of here...doesn't sound like he's just going to let us leave though."

I shivered. "Let's go! If it gets too close we'll have no choice but to fight it!" I said. Turning to run, I made no move to draw my sword as it would just get in the way, most likely.

I began to move a bit faster in the trees doing my best to keep my balance so that if there was a dragon I would have a better place to attack from.
