I smiled and happily watched the dog eat, unaware of Violet. I reached over and began scratching the dog's ear as it ate. "I know you can't understand me big guy but I really am an Idiot," I sighed and watched him eat some more.

The dog dropped onto its haunches when Violet came near, still growling. He was crouched protectively over his food.

Noticing the dog growling I turned and Saw violet, I turned slightly red and looked back at the dog before speaking," Have you been standing there long?" He gently pet the dog's snout again.

I glared at the dog, wondering what Vickas had been about to say. "No, not long." I walked into the tent, searching my pack for my finest clothes. I took off my armor and my sword.

Not looking away from the dog I spoke to her,"Do you want me to leave so you can change?"

"If you promise not to peek, I don't care if you stay or go," I responded and there was no emotion in my voice. I began to change, taking off my shirt, folding it, and putting it into my bag.

I didn't try leaving because I would end up peeking as I walked out the door. I kept my eye focused on the dog and scratched it behind the ears.

I quickly finished changing. "I'll see you in the morning. Don't let the dog touch my stuff," I said, exiting the tent.

After she left I started to speak to the dog again," She's mad because of me but... You're just a dog I should probably stop talking to you." I sighed and stood up, before laying down in an empty corner in the tent, calling the dog over before laying down next to it.

I went to Jay's tent, entering quietly.

The dog whined when Vickas moved away from him, but happily laid down next to him. He stretched out, and laid his muzzle on his paws, looking at Vickas. Fully stretched out, with his legs behind him, the dog easily matched Vickas' size.
Jay wasn't in his tent; he was still talking to the watchmen, making sure the camp was safe. Two bedrolls were on the ground, neatly made. A chest was in the back of the tent, locked shut.

*scratching the dog behind the ears again I laid one arm around the dog, I was used to sleeping like this.I feel into a light slumber next to the dog.

I sat on one of them, innocently looking around. If I were going to steal from him, I wanted to make sure he wouldn't walk in on me.

The dog slept with Vickas, waking up every now and then to make sure the scary eagle girl wasn't there.
The quiet of the night made it easy to tell if someone was going to enter, but there was no telling when Jay would.

I was quickly becoming impatient, but I wasn't about to get my pack from Vickas's tent and I probably wouldn't be able to pick a lock without my stuff.
