Kenny handed him a couple of pencils and the tests he was supposed to be taking. "It's okay if you don't know the answers to the questions. This is just to see how much you already know."

Rook opened the door part of the way, still on the defensive, but he relaxed a bit when he saw Kenny outside. "Oh. Yeah, come in then." He stepped back and let Kenny in the room.

Kenny stepped inside and shut the door behind him. He sat on the floor, giving Rook space and not hovering over him. "If you'd like to be in your own room, I can put David in another room. He won't be alone if he doesn't want to be," he said.
