"I believe you're correct, they haven't." He frowned. "That's peculiar. Perhaps something has happened to her and they were merely practicing attacking without her guidance?" She was a professional who'd done this for years, and therefore likely to have kept everything under control, after all.

[Raven]

"Hmph. Possibly. I haven't heard anything, but she's hardly a legend," scarlet said

[Gifted]

"Well, in her line of work, if you're famous, you're doing it wrong." Zise pointed out.

[Raven]

Sangria snorted. "Yes, well, hopefully we'll find out what's going on soon," she said. "They didn't seem to struggle all that much."

[Gifted]

Zise nodded. "For now we watch and we wait, then."

[Raven]

"Carefully. If things are changing up, something could slip through the cracks."

[Gifted]

Zise nodded. "Well, you're the one with the contacts underground. I am interested in hearing if you find anything more."

[Raven]

Scarlet pursed her lips. "Things will be harder now that we're in class once again."

[Gifted]

"We may need a more permanent source of information on the inside." This wasn't the first time he'd suggested a spy, but the principal always vetoed the idea.

[Raven]

"Yes. If you have a way to accomplish that, you let me know."

[Gifted]

Zise nodded. He knew what she was saying as well as she did; without the principal, there wasn't much on that front they could do.

[Raven]

The next day, they started classes - and the first years had none other than Scarlet Sangria as their first teacher of the day.
"Why couldn't we have something like history first?" Xanthene asked. "Anything we can just sit in." She was clearly not a morning person.
Nisha, on the other hand, as far as they could tell, had already been up for an hour or more before they woke.

"She better go easy on us 'cause its the morning." Opal grumbled.

Tang was used to having to operate at any hour of the day, and so seemed in better shape than the other two, though not happy about the ear hour either.

[Raven]

"I doubt she will," Nisha said, sounding slightly amused.

Albion was up at the same time as the others, though he seemed slightly more alert. Slightly. Roux, on the other hand, simply curled deeper into her nest of blankets as the others woke.

This room was a little more awake. Gri had acclimatized to an even earlier schedule from last year, and was already ready to leave. Fuchsia was up as well, in the bathroom applying makeup.
Gri approached Roux and shook her shoulder. "Roux. Hey, Roux."
