"Some guys like younger girls. But I wouldn't exactly complain," Xanthene said. "Whatever the case, we'll almost always be with each other. It's not like he's going to try anything. Anyway, we should head up to bed. Like he said, it's going to be a busy couple days." Xanthene stood up and stretched. Nisha followed her upstairs. The other students began to file out.
It was only after the students left that Scarlet Sangria stood, letting her whip fall before rolling it in her hands again. "Clemantis," she said. "I want to speak with you."

Zise looked up at his friend on the staff. They made an odd pair - skinny, glasses wearing Zise and take-no-prisoners Scarlet, but the friendship worked, and not just because they were coworkers. He pushed his purple glasses up and followed her out with a quick "Coming, Sangria."

Some could say that the pair might even need one another - calm Zise to balance out his somewhat impulsive coworker. She continued playing with her weapon as she exited the dining hall, her hair still pulled up from her travels. She'd arrived in the nick of time for the start of term. "How have you been?" Scarlet asked, though it was somewhat obvious she wanted to stop the nonsense immediately.
