Name: Tang Orange Appearance: Brown hair cut short so it barely reaches her chin. Bangs are long and sideswept, though they don't cover her face. She straightens her hair every day, and the cut at the bottom is a little too ruler-straight and even, as if the cut just happened recently. Her skin tone is darker than average, making her appear perpetually tan. Her face is very expressive, and she tends to smirk more than display a regular kind smile. If one catches Tang when she thinks she is alone, they might notice an unsettling cruel twist to her smirk that isn't usually there. Eyes are a golden brown colour. Battle outfit: Casual brown button up jacket with orange pocket flaps and accent lines along the collar. Orange tank top underneath with a straight neckline. The jacket has almost no sleeves and ends just below her belly button, but the orange tank top continues underneath and is often partially tucked in and partially not depending on if she remembered to fix it this morning. Her pants are brown capris held up with a simple black belt with a single orange line running down the seam of each leg. She also wears fingerless orange gloves that extend to her elbow, and seem to get a little thicker after her wrist. Her shoes are heavy brown lace-up boots that go up to her calves and leave an inch or two of skin before the bottom of her pant leg. Weapon: Double-ended staff, longer than she is tall. Each end of the staff ends in a wicked blade curved inwards like a claw. Gun barrels protrude from the top of the claws on each end, and she fires them with her aura as she cannot reach the triggers in staff mode. In a pinch, hitting the middle of her staff with her knee will cause the middle to pop out, leaving her with two guns which also function as combat knives. There are additional buttons on the gun and what looks like a second place to grip at the back in which she could slip her hand through, but no one has ever seen her use these. Semblance: Doesn't seem to know how to use it, although she does seem to be faster than most people. Personality: Driven and determined. She's also very people oriented; She enjoys the company of others and is always willing to pick up other people when they fall. She can come off as cynical at times, but her cynicism rarely leads to her being upset. Very little scares her or makes her unhappy, and she's always trying to push her friends to be the best fighters they can be. History: She doesn't talk about it much, actually, though they do know she never contacts her parents. Her transcripts state she went to an elementary school in Atlas. Anything Else?: She is harboring a secret which, if discovered, would get her kicked out of the Academy.
Name: Hazel Amaretto Age: 17 Appearance: Long, wavy brown hair which falls to about her forearms, tied in a high ponytail with sideswept bangs. Her eyes are golden brown, and her expression teds to be a cruel, cold smirk that exudes a deadly confidence. Her skin is darker than one generally sees in the area, looking perpetually tan. Battle Outfit: A formal looking button up beige jacket over top a chestnut brown tube top. Underneath her jacket sleeves she wears bronze gauntlets that cover from her wrist to her elbow, though her hands are bare, with long nails painted brown. She has similar but smaller bracelets around her upper arms. Hazel wears tight pants the same chestnut brown as her shirt, with a belt in a lighter chocolate brown with holsters for her weapons attached. For shoes she wears beige ankle boots the same colour as her jacket. Weapon: A pair of wicked combat knives with a curve to them like claws. Gun barrels protrude from the top and she can fire them like dual wielding pistols. They also transform into grappling hooks; By sliding her hand into a secondary grip on the back of the gun handle and pressing a button near the top, the knife becomes flexible and the whole thing shoots on a cable towards whatever Hazel aims it at. This mode does not do damage by hitting things but it will latch onto the first thing it hits, allowing for Hazel to move it or herself with the cable. Semblance: Short range teleportation of herself and objects. She calls it 'blinking'. Personality: Duty-oriented and cold, but a little too chatty for some. Tactically minded but becomes fixated once she gets an idea in her head. Very adaptable to different situations and people. History: Hazel lived her life on the streets as a child, after she blinked her abusive parents out of existence with her semblance the first time it activated (which she shouldn't be able to do, but she to this day has no idea where they ended up, nor does she care much) and the house they'd rented got taken away when they didn't pay up. She was taken in by different parties various times as a child, but always ended up back on the street eventually stealing and doing what she could to survive. Anything Else?: Thought to be the villains right hand woman.
Name: Opal Skobeloff Appearance: Very straight black hair with green tips and highlights that just barely touches her shoulders. She looks young for her age, which irks her to no end. Her skin is pale, and her eyes are the same dark green as her hair highlights. Battle Outfit: A little black dress that is very short, with a prominent dark green underskirt. The dress zips up at the back and is plain at the front, with a simple green belt around her waist supplied with extra bullets and dust for her weapons. She wears black tights underneath her dress and green boots which are quite tall, ending above her knees. They are also her weapons, so it's important that they're secure. She also wears a bolero jacket in a dark green colour over her arms. Weapon: Though she used to wield a large teal battleaxe with blue and green stones alternating across the top, she has recently ditched that for a new weapon set. She has a pair of green brass knuckles she slips on before each fight, each of which can slip off her hands and split in half to reveal two very small pistols that pack quite the punch for their tiny size. However her two best guns are in the heels of her boots, which she fires with her aura. Semblance: Increase and decrease of gravity around specific people or objects. She can punch craters into the ground by increasing the gravity and force behind her punches, or make herself nearly weightless and jump right over opponents effortlessly. Personality: Eager and friendly, but a bit immature. She's hot-headed and prone to extreme mood swings. She's still going through that 'stupid teenage kid' phase, but she has a good heart and can be a genuine true friend to anyone who will stand with her. History: Opal's father was a Hunter in his youth, but he settled down as he got older and went into medicine. He now runs an extremely well known pharmaceutical company and the Skobeloff name is known everywhere. However, Opal's dad is marred in controversy; his methods for testing drugs include paying down on their luck Faunices peanuts to go through horrible tests that are only legal because Faunice's don't fit the legal definition of 'human'. As a result, many dislike his legacy, no matter how much faster he can release working, effective medicine. Opal is included in that, who utterly hates her father for what he does and doesn't want anything to do with him. She resents people having to know her last name and refuses to even take any calls made by him. Anything else?: Not really.
Name: Gri Ashen Age: 18 Appearance: Grey hair which falls in layered waves around her face and equally grey eyes. Her expression is always somber and serious, and Gri is a girl of few words and even fewer smiles. Battle Outfit: Gri's legs are armoured in what looks to be iron or steel; some sort of grey metal which encases her legs up to above the waist. A white shirt meets it; tight around her figure and with no sleeves to peak of. On her shoulders begins a grey coat that seems to be part metal, part fabric; metal shoulders and small sleeves around her arms, the front entirely open except for a metal bar contoured to fit over her breasts connecting one side of the coat to the other, yet the bottom of the coat flares out into separate fabric that curls around each other like proper fabric. She also wears grey fingerless gloves which end at the wrist. She wears a white metal-like belt around her hips and her boots are grey, end below the knees and have a deep white V pointing downward at the front of them. Weapon: A silver metal boomerang that she can control through signals sent to a module on her back attached to her coat, allowing it to do physics defying things like stalk her opponents. Squeezing buttons on either side in the center causes the boomerang to elongate and thin out into a simple, sleek grey bow. The module turns into a sheath from which Gri retrieves her arrows. Semblance: Throws up walls on command, which can be reflective or merely solid. Personality: Distrusting and cold. Gri doesn't believe in friendship, but she does recognize the advantage of having other people to work with. Still, she prefers to be alone when possible. Alone, there's no fear someone you trusted will stab you in the back. However, she simultaneously doesn't want to be too closed off so as to think only of herself and help no one, because she perceives that as selfish. The result is she's the sort who will offer her hand to someone in need, but pull it back quickly after it was accepted and never, ever accept that same help from someone else. She feels her life is about walking a delicate tightrope of not getting burned by people without trapping herself in isolation. History: A transfer student who was nearly killed by her 'friends' at another school, Gri no longer trusts people in general. After having her life saved by the professor in the nick of time and her friends not punished for their actions, Gri got herself transferred to another school so she wouldn't have to look at them anymore. Anything Else?: Gri is supposed to be a year ahead of everyone else, but as she was transferred and there were no second year teams she could be put on, she got knocked back. Teachers know this and she often gets different homework acknowledging the fact that she should be more advanced.
Name: Fuchsia Alexandrite Appearance: Long, wavy hair in a very light pink that reaches all the way down to her waist. Her eyes are a much more violent pink, and her innocent smile his her two faced and backstabbing attitude. Battle Outfit: A white jacket that is always closed, with one side that crosses all the way to the other rather than having the buttons in the middle. The whole thing is lined in hot pink around the outside, and the collar of the jacket is bright pink as well. She wears white leggings that end at her ankles underneath a cute pink skirt, and pink flats on her feet that she seems to have no problem fighting in. Very rarely, she will also come to battle with a pure white coat over her shoulders made of a thin material that buttons in the front. Weapon: Brown arm gauntlet that functions as a sniper rifle, and bomb manufacturing tool. Fuchsia can create sticky bombs, mines, grenades and other bomb types. Semblance: Allows her to take the appearance and Semblance of others. Personality: Petty, catty, self-centered and manipulative. If Fuchsia isn't getting what she wants she has no problem turning to manipulation and rumor-mongering to get it. Fuchsia thrives on drama and putting others down, but she does have a nicer side. If you manage to get close while staying off her hit list, she can be intelligent, insightful and helpful. Though her superior attitude can be a bit grating she is, in fact, good at what she does, and doesn't mind lending close friends a hand, especially if there's something in it for her. History: Fuchsia grew up with an older sister who is even worse than she is, while simultaneously being better at everything. Fuchsia's secret primary goal is to surpass her sisters legacy, because if she doesn't she'll only ever be a failure in her sisters eyes. Anything else she accomplishes is meaningless because her sister did it first. As a result, Fuchsia is under a lot of pressure and most of her cattiness is a mixture of growing up imitating her sister and keeping people from stealing the glory she absolutely has to have if she's ever going to be seen for her accomplishments in her family. Anything Else?: Haven't you heard enough blabbering on about Fuchsia's life? Honestly. Hmph.
Name: Vixie Kitsune Age: 18 Appearance: Long and very straight brown hair going down to her armpits. Her Faunice DNA is stronger than most, and her face has become distorted over the last couple years. Her face is narrow and her mouth and nose protrude from her face. Her face is also splotchy and discoloured. While her face is not that of a fox, it has a distinct shape that identifies her as not human even when her ears and tail are hidden. Her eyes are a warm chocolate brown. She has the tail of a typical red fox. Battle outfit: A pull-over hooded dark red sweatshirt. She wears the hood down when she's fighting, though it is often up the rest of the time to try to hide her ears and face, which she is ashamed of. Underneath is a horizontally striped dark blue and white tank top with lace at the top and bottom. she's also wearing jeans and basic white running shoes. Weapon: various cleaning supplies. She has a mop for hand to hand combat, but she is an expert at improvising weapons. She has glass jars of acid, and cans of bleach and drain cleaner she uses to make toxic gas. She also has a variety of aerosols she can use as flamethrowers and enough flammable material to make fire barriers basically wherever she wants. Her ingenuity and unpredictability is her greatest weapon. Semblance: Attraction and repulsion of object. attraction is as powerful as a small vacuum, and repulsion sends everything flying at alarming speeds. Was supposed to be telekinesis, before she was subjected to experiments that made her power volatile and uncontrollable. Also has a far larger aura pool than average. Personality: Reserved and shy. She hates people looking at her and usually tries to stay out of peoples way. But she is also determined, and not afraid to speak her mind when it is something she is passionate about. She is extraordinarily clever, and coming up with unorthodox tactics and making the most out of what she has are her biggest strengths. She truly believes that the way to have humans and Faunice be treated as equals is to have them stand arm in arm on the battlefield like brothers and accomplish something great alongside one another. To her, working for the villain is a realization of that ideal. She is the one who ensures no discrimination is occurring among the forces, due to this matters supreme importance to her. History: Vixie Kitsune was a very poor Faunice girl with a dream of becoming a huntress. As a child she used to wield sticks in the front yard and pretend they were swords she would use to fight Grimm. However, her family could not afford for her to leave in her teenage years to go to a faraway school with no way to come home. Desperate to at least have a shot at her dream, she trained by herself on the lawn and saved money to leave by volunteering for dangerous and life-threatening experiments, including medical testing done by the Skorbeloff company. This proved to be a mistake. A few days after her seventeenth birthday, the drug she was testing turned out to have an adverse reaction in her system that ended her dreams of becoming a huntress forever. In addition to being unable to overexert herself on a regular basis for fear of further heart and lung damage, her genes became unstable. Her once lovely face was horribly mutated until she could no longer pass as a human, and her aura became extraordinarily unstable. Her semblance, before a precise telekinetic ability she'd been developing skill in, became chaotic, bursting out of her at random and becoming uncontrollable. Any adrenaline, any attempt at fighting hurt Vixie and everyone around her. She blames Skobeloff for her lot in life, as well as the racism towards Faunices that allowed tests like that to happen on them in the first place. Anything else?: Works for the villain.
Name: Skye Age: 13 Appearance: Short, poofy pigtails in a light, sky blue. Her eyes are only slightly darker, matching the blue of the sky on a cloudless day. Her skin is pale and she has yet to hit puberty. Her innocence still reflects visibly out of her face, even when in combat mode. Battle Outfit:

Name: Albion Blake Appearance: Light blonde hair cut very short, just a bit too long to be military official. Always clean shaven, though it's unclear whether this is because he doesn't yet grow facial hair or because he shaves it very regularly. His eyes are pale blue. He has gotten very good at hiding the emotion in his face, making him very hard to read. Those who know him well can still tell from his eyes, unless he's consciously hiding what he's feeling. Battle Outfit: A simple white button up shirt and pants, seem to be starched like a uniform, and there are slight gold bands around his wrists, and arrows on his shoulders almost like a military uniform. All the same, the clothes appear flexible and easy to move in. Weapon: Flail. The ball and chain can detach, and will explode at the press of a button. He has replacements that can be hooked back up. The weapon is much heavier than most people expect it to be, and a hit can deal some serious damage due to the weight behind it. Semblance: Thickened skin. This lessens damage taken, and drains aura upon contact. To creatures with no aura, it dissolves their very being. Personality: Cold, seems to be no-nonsense, defending people as is his duty. He's very honorable and ensures that everything he does is fair and just. When you get on his good side, you can catch him joking and smiling. In truth, all he wants is to relax and enjoy things. History: The Blakes have been serving as Huntsmen for as long as anyone can remember - generations upon generations of fighters, defenders, and soldiers, creating a legacy for Asher Blake's first son to follow, just as he had done, and his father before him. No other options were considered for him, and his training began before he ever joined Primary school for Hunters. Though as a child, Alby resented this pressure and wished to pursue his own dreams, as he grew he came to understand the responsibility and importance of his duty. He took charge of this responsibility, secretly hoping it would mean his two younger siblings wouldn't have to. He is simply a vessel to do everything he can to fight the Grimm and protect the citizens of Remnant. Anything Else?: Nope.
Name: Xanthene Blaine Appearance: Dark yellow hair and golden brown eyes. Her hair is long, and usually flows free, though she pulls it up in battle. She's expressive and quick to smile, but her signature expression is the one she gets when she's facing a challenge. Her eyes grow hard, and her mouth sits straight - there is true purpose there, and the determination can be unsettling, particularly if it's directed at you. Battle Outfit: Light yellow ribbons under dark yellow armor skirt and shirt. The ribbons are wrapped around her hands to reduce the damage to her fingers when she hits things. Her boots are made to be able to walk anywhere without problems. Weapon: Two handguns that double as knives. She primarily stabs people with them. Semblance: Fires energy blasts. When her aura and health reach a certain level, she can absorb other people's aura to fire off intense blasts. Personality: Xanthene doesn't give a single f*ck. She is who she is, and she won't let anyone tell her to be anything else. She puts her all into everything she does, because when she makes a decision, she sticks to it. History: Xanthene grew up in a house at the edge of the safe zones, and the creatures of Grimm were always held over her head as a child - "If you disobey, who's to say that the Grimm won't come and gobble you up" - but despite that, she didn't see much of them as a child. There was one time, when she was six or so when she saw a Beowulf close enough to be frightened, but even then it was only due to her overactive imagination. She was never in real danger from them. The one thing she really had to watch out for in her life was her parents, but they were very good at convincing her that everything else was the danger, and that they were doing what was best for her. They had her cleaning all the time because they were busy "protecting her from the Grimm", something they never hesitated to terrify her with in order to keep her under their thumbs. For a long time, she didn't even realize it was anything but normal. Even after she began school. As she grew older, though, her parents got worse and worse because she was able to handle more, and finally it occurred to her what was going on after she spent some time with a friend's family. When it came out, she was removed from her family's care, and in the time since then, shes had a keen sense of the unfairness in the world - both because her parents were keen to point out how bad others had it in comparison to her, and because of the stark comparison of her parents versus her friends'. The more she learned the more it upset her and she wanted to make a difference - at first she wanted to do it among the people, but she quickly came to realize that she struggled with people, and couldn't stand to deal with them, so she decided to walk the path of a Huntress instead. She's not fully grasped yet what that entails. Anything Else?: Nupe
Name: Shiro Blake Age: 13 Appearance: Messy white hair, extraordinarily pale skin, and red eyes. He is small for his age, but that doesn't stop him. He's very good at faking expressions, using whichever suits him most at any given moment. When he doesn't feel the need to do this, Shiro almost always looks bored. Battle Outfit: A white soldier's uniform much like his father's and brother's. However, his has a number of gold embellishments and pins. When going on... personal missions, Shiro dresses rather differently so that he won't be recognized. In those cases, he wears a dark grey hood and cape, plain clothing, and a white handkerchief over his nose and mouth. Weapon: Semblance: Hyper voice. When Shiro activates his semblance, his voice is elevated to deafening levels, and a supersonic pitch. He is able to shatter glass by screaming. Personality: History: Anything Else?: Albion's little brother.
Name: Nisha Lonan Appearance: Straight black hair cut off just above her shoulders, but despite that, it commonly hangs in her face. Chocolate brown eyes contain a spark of interest and intelligence. She doesn't speak much, but it's clear that doesn't mean she doesn't understand - she simply prefers watching to leading. Battle Outfit: A black hood and a cover over her mouth almost completely obscure her face in battle. She has armor over her shoulders and bracers on her arm, as well as a chest plate and an armor skirt, beneath which she wears black pants. Her lower legs are also protected by armor and leather steel toed boots. The chest plate is embroidered to depict the day and the night sky. Around her neck is one thing that doesn't fit with her outfit at all: a large, light blue gemstone strung along a light blue ribbon. It almost seems to actually emit light. Weapon: A sleek, black crossbow that seems to be made of a dark metal. The bolts are black with the same dark, metal tips. They can be thrown from her hand as well as fired from the bow. The crossbow itself can be extended and pressed together to form a sword - the purpose of it being made of the dark metal. It is stored in a sheath at her back. Nisha can turn it into a crossbow in the time it takes to draw it and put it in front of her. She carries a quiver on her back, and has the ability to use the bolts to anchor her to something as well - acting as a grappling hook, or a harpoon. Semblance: Struggles to use it, but when she does, she is able to fly. Personality: Nisha is a little shy, struggling to communicate, particularly with strangers. She's quiet, intelligent, and friendly. She's not the best fighter, but she's determined to be the best she can be, and to pass her training at Beacon. History: Alya Dali and Nisha Lonan - their parents little birds. They were twins, but they couldn't have looked more different. Just the same, their personalities were near opposite. Alya was outgoing, brave, and would jump into any situation she found interesting. Nisha was shy, cautious, and perfectly okay with sitting inside and reading. However, she loved accompanying her sister, no matter how stupid the plan. Though Nisha always secretly wanted to be a Huntress - a hero like in the stories - it was Alya who seemed to have the idea first, as they were approaching the age at which they would be able to attend primary. She suggested it for the adventure, for the danger. Nisha agreed, as she always did, thrilled that she would be going to follow her dream that she had told no one - not even her sister. The pair of them enrolled, and they became a ferocious team, though some people believed that Nisha was holding her sister back. Alya ignored them, and when she decided that they were in need of a new adventure, Nisha was the one she asked to come along. Things didn't turn out the way either of them had thought. Upon sneaking out, the pair of them encountered a Deathstalker much closer than it should have been to the walls of the school. Nisha was prepared to run - no one in their year had fought a Deathstalker yet. Alya said they were going to defeat it and save the school - then they would be heroes, and everyone would know it. Nisha was hesitant, but the two engaged the creature. It was immediately obvious they weren't prepared for that battle. They both took significant blows, but fortunately the sounds of the battle drew teachers out. They yelled for the two sisters to get out, but the shouting drew Alya's attention at the wrong moment - and the Deathstalker stung her. Alya was unable to recover enough to continue her training, but she insisted that Nisha had to - knowing that her sister would hold herself back because Alya was unable to do it. For the first time, Nisha had to push forward on her own, but she made it to Beacon all the same. Anything Else?: nope!
Name: Roux Altan Appearance: Red hair pulled to the left side that has a tendency to hang in her face, and bright green eyes. She has a patch of white hair that stands out from the rest, which she's rather embarrassed about, though not nearly as much as she's awkward about her fluffy red striped tail. Battle Outfit: Wears a button up, deep red shirt, black jeans, and thigh high red boots. Her arms are covered in black gloves. A deep red cape is included in an attempt to obscure her tail. Weapon: A red staff with detachable sections, allowing her to split it into two, shaping it to her will. The end is sharpened so that she can drive it into things. Semblance: Damage banking. Upon activation, she feels no pain, and her aura doesn't drop. Then it hits her all at once after time runs out. Personality: To those who don't know her, Roux doesn't talk much, seemingly shy. However, when around her friends and people she trusts, she's playful and has a good sense of humor - though it can get dark sometimes. She's sensitive about her faunus heritage. When someone gets past her walls, she's very expressive and excitable. History: Roux was one of the few of her time to be born to a faunus and a human. Even more unusual, Roux's father took her in. Though the pair had never really been in love, Mr. Altan wasn't prepared to leave his little girl to the streets, and Roux's mother was keen to give her daughter a better life from the scrounging she often dealt with. She knew that her child's father was more open minded than most, and that he wouldn't treat Roux poorly for her race. However, growing up among humans, many others did. Roux didn't have many friends because none of their neighbors were willing to allow their children to play with the dangerous faunus girl. They were by no means rich, but Mr. Altan did what he could to keep his daughter happy despite the hostile environment outside of their home. As she grew up a bit, she began doing whatever she could to hide her tail, and to act as though she were just a normal, human girl. For a while, it worked, until her next door neighbor told her new friends and began teasing her once more, pulling her tail so that they could see. She was called "Foxy" often, which only managed to discourage her more. Finally, she ran away, fleeing to where she wouldn't be the outcast any longer. This lasted only a couple of days, but Roux learned quickly that things were no better among other faunus. She was hungry, cold, and mistreated. When her father finally found her - the cops being unwilling to help - Roux cried in his arms and returned home in an instant. After a long talk with her father, Roux decided she wanted to show people that faunus were just as good as humans - she was just as good as anyone else. She enrolled in Huntsman school, and did her best to get through, despite many of her failures being attributed to her faunus side, and any of her successes being attributed to luck, chance, and her human half. Roux did her best to not let it get to her, and to always be the better person, knowing that any bad behavior would effect her much more than her human counterparts. Anything Else?: Is a red panda faunus.
Name: Roy Noctis Appearance: Battle Outfit: Weapon: Semblance: Illusionist. Personality: History: Anything Else?:
Name: Honey Dior Appearance: Battle Outfit: Weapon: Semblance: siren. Her voice can make people trust her, put people to sleep, and in some cases, convince them to do things for her. Personality: History: Anything Else?:
Name: Scarlet Sangria Appearance: Deep red hair a couple shades lighter than Roux's which hangs in waves around her shoulders, or is sometimes tied up into a pony tail. She's got pale skin and blue eyes. Battle Outfit: A red T-shirt and leather vest, along with red skinny jeans and knee-high leather combat style boots. Weapon: A black and red leather whip, which she can use to swing from things, to wrap around people, and to do damage. Despite having years of practice, she's still prone to catch herself, and often makes herself bleed. Semblance: Can manipulate her own blood. Using Dust, she can make it explosive or rock solid and sharp. Personality: No-nonsense and intense. She's a firecracker and is prone to blowing up. History: When Scarlet first decided to begin schooling to become a Huntress, the only thing she really cared about was the glory and fame. It sounded exciting and dazzling to become one of Vale's heroes. This idle ambition carried her through primary, and thanks to her talent, it even allowed her entrance to the school. Once there, one of her teachers pegged her as someone who was only drifting, following a goal because it seemed fun without fully realizing the life she was claiming to want was anything but a cake walk. He tried to tell her, but words rarely had the same effect, especially when she succeeded with so little effort. Scarlet's team was annoyed by her lack of purpose, especially when in fights they were often forced to cover for her. It didn't last long, however, as the first time they were out in the field after the initiation, Scarlet's team was called to deal with a large nevermore as a demonstration for the other students. Scarlet was cocky, and didn't hesitate to agree, and her teammates followed along. The fight seemed to be more or less under control - while Scarlet was bleeding, it was controlled, and the school was well aware of her semblance by that point, and her teammates had sustained injuries, but nothing major. There was no time for them to intervene before it abruptly turned bad as the grimm charged at Scarlet. She didn't have a chance to avoid it as she'd unwittingly backed herself into a corner. Her team came to her aid, but the large bird turned on them as well. There was a moment of confusion, the other students being confused as to what had just happened since they had been so confident in the top team's ability, but teachers ultimately intervened, slaying the grimm and attempting to get the students medical attention. Scarlet passed out before they made it back to the school, and it would take her months to make a complete recovery. She was told again and again that no one would be able to blame her if she dropped out, that she had taken a hard hit and so soon after coming to school, that they weren't sure she would ever be able to do as well as she had. She was looked at with pity when people bothered to pay her any attention, and only one student really seemed interested in listening to what she wanted and keeping her company. Thus, Scarlet became determined to prove everyone wrong, and Zise Clemantis became a close friend. After that, Sangria had to put forth much more effort to recover and get back to average, let alone the place she'd been before the attack, but she never let it deter her. She learned from her mistakes, and let her passion push her harder and harder, though it was more difficult than anything she'd ever done. The injury tempered her somewhat, making her less careless with others lives, and reasonably more careful with her own. She and Zise stayed unlikely friends and even teamed up a few times after graduation. It was a few years of adventuring and danger before Scarlet decided that she wanted to help make sure that students didn't have to nearly die to learn the lesson she had - and to make sure it would happen before they were in a place that would really result in their deaths. Thus, she came to teach at Beacon Academy, hoping that she would be able to teach the next generation of Huntsmen that there was more to the career they were pursuing than talent and glory. That everything they were being taught would become crucial to their survival. Anything Else?:

"Now arriving at Beacon. Please disembark in an orderly fashion." The official sounding woman's voice floated over the intercom as the ramp lowered to the concrete below. What followed wasn't something Nisha would exactly describe as "orderly" as the press of students spilled out onto the walkway, entering Beacon grounds for the first time. Nisha escaped the crowd before looking around. Roux's eyes widened at the impressive castle before her. Albion set off to explore.

Gripping the pole between her two weapons - no, it was all one weapon now, she had to think of it as one weapon - tightly, she strode off the ship with a confident smirk. Someone here must be willing to be on her team. Especially when they saw how good she was at fighting already. She just had to start striking up conversations.
Opal shouldered her ax and looked around nervously. This was a clean slate; a new leaf where she wouldn't have to be associated with her father and her family name. Maybe here people would see her for her and not for the horrible cesspool of a human being that her dad was. It was a good thing. But she would be lying if she said she wasn't a little afraid of that not happening. She slipped a bit away from the tight crowds so she could actually see what was going on, standing on her tip toes.
Gri's eyes darted back and forth, taking in all the children intermingling and talking. This time, she had no intention of being one of them. This would be a very different start to the year than she'd had last year.

"Hey, that's a pretty cool weapon," Albion said, eyeing the double-ended spear with curved blades. He'd been intending to focus on the school, but the orange girl's weapon caught his attention. His own was stored carefully away. He had no idea this girl knew his brother.
Roux's eyes lit up, an idea popping into her head as she saw the other girl nearby. A bright smile lit her face, and she bounced over. "Finally someone who isn't a foot taller than me!" She declared, grinning.
Xanthene looked around, scanning the grounds and the crowd equally.

Tang grinned at the boy who'd approached her. "Thanks. I built it myself right before coming here." Well, she'd connected the two gun-blades to a pole right before coming here, anyway. "What about you? What's your weapon?"
Opal grinned and laughed at the short, excitable girl who had bounced over. She herself was also not exactly on the tall end of the people here, but even she was taller than this girl by a few inches. Still, she definitely knew the pain of being the short one. "No kidding!" She agreed, grinning. "How are we supposed to see anything with all these tall people in the way? I need like two of me!"
Gri leaned against a wall. She should have bought a book or something before she got here. She thought about practicing with her bow, but there were too many people around. She didn't want to hit anyone.

Albion looked at her weapon again. "Mine is a flail, it can land some pretty hard hits," he answered pleasantly.
"Right?! We've gotta see the place too," Roux agreed. She grinned. "I'm Roux." Her tail was carefully tucked away.
Nisha swallowed a bit nervously, fidgeting as she worked up the courage to speak before she finally just blurted out a greeting. "Um, hi." She was speaking to a girl dressed in grey, who was away from the crowd.

"A flail? That's pretty cool, actually." She held out a hand for him to shake. "I'm Tang."
"My name's Opal!" Opal greeted. "Are you excited for the first day? I'm so excited, it'll be great to be away from the same old elementary school crowd, you know?"
Ugh. Great, now someone was talking to her. Gri looked up at the black-clad fighter standing before her. This one looked strong, at least. She'd do well here. "Hello." She nodded curtly to the girl.

Albion shook it firmly. "Albion. It's nice to meet you." He smiled.
"Yeah, I'm really excited," Roux enthused. No one had seen her tail here, she'd be treated equally. "It's such a beautiful school."
Nisha regretted speaking, but she couldn't back out now. "Er, I... I'm Nisha."

"Good to meet you too." Tang grinned back. "You thought about what you're gonna do for teams yet?"
"It is. And we can totally start over here. It'll be great." Of course as soon as she said that, it was like she'd jinxed it. "Hey there, Opal. Still using daddy's little weapon, I see." A girl in all pink grinned smugly from behind Opal. Opal jerked around. "It's not my dad's weapon!" Opal snapped, her hand tightening on her ax. "For God's sake, Fuchsia, you saw me build it!" "Oh of course." Fuchsia said sarcastically, rolling her eyes. "I'm sure Mr. Skobeloff is very proud of his little copycat warrior." "Leave him out of this!" Opal raised her voice to a shout.
"Gri."

Roux glanced at Opal. "You're a Skobeloff?" she asked.
"Not really. I'll try to find balance, but I don't know too many people here. I recognize a handful, but I don't want to rule anyone out because they live somewhere I didn't," Albion said. "You?"
Nisha nodded. "That's a pretty name," she mumbled awkwardly.

"Ugh, I haven't been here thirty seconds and people are already talking about my last name." She glowered at the pink haired girl. "Thanks, Fuchsia. Thanks." "You didn't know?" Fuchsia was talking to Roux with wide, surprised eyes now. "Opal here is the daughter of the head of the Skobeloff Pharmaceutical Company." "Fuchsia would you drop it?!" Opal snapped.
"I've thought about it a lot, but not about specific people, y'know? I don't know anybody. But I'm really excited to find a team, it's what I'm most looking forward too." Tang told him.
"Thanks." Gri answered, because it was the polite thing to say.

Roux looked a little bit shell shocked. "I should go head to the auditorium," she mumbled, stepping away.
Nisha lapsed into awkward silence.
"You have any idea what you'd like as far as teammates go?" Albion asked

Opal looked a mixture of livid and crestfallen. She didn't know whether to yell at the bully who was still tormenting her or try to tell Roux how much she wasn't like her father with Fuchsia still standing right there. "Roux I- If you want I guess. Fuchsia would you leave?!"
"I mostly just want to make sure people will talk to me. I've worked with people who are so annoying about 'getting it done' with no humour and no fun involved, you know? I want my teammates to actually know and like each other." She told him. "As far as tactical stuff goes, I can do mid and close range, so I'd like a sniper sort on my team. Whatever we can get to have balance, really. Anyone can be strong if they choose to work at it hard enough."
