"Ryan!" She exclaimed cheerfully. "How have you been? I'm sorry we haven't had much time to talk."
Hemlock nudged Ryan with the top of his head affectionately. It was clear to everyone at the camp that Ryan was Hemlocks favourite person there.

"Oh I can see where he's coming from just fine - seems like a sweet kid who wants to believe the best of the man. Just, that's not the best attitude to be basing your decisions on when you're at war. I'm just glad the spy gave us something that's easy to test the validity of." She finished her letter to her mom updating her on how things were going and asking if she had attacked Adam recently. "There we go. I just gotta send this off."
