"Anyway, you must be hungry. Go ahead and eat your lunch," Kenny said, smiling. "There are other ways - outside forces that can corrupt, too. Peer pressure from the wrong kinds of people, going to see sinful films, seeing bad television ads, or things in magazines or shopping centers. The human mind is very malleable, especially when children are involved, and you have to be very careful. Of course you can always repent of something, should you make a mistake, but it is always easier to have never seen in the first place than to make up for doing so."

[Gifted]

"That seems a little extreme." She said doubtfully. "I mean it's not like you can avoid half that stuff. And not everyone is affected by say magazine ads."

[Raven]

Kenny smiled. "That's why I want to have my own community, people who cannot corrupt one another, because they are all pure, and they all believe. There are other forms of entertainment, and in a place like that, everyone could grow up safe - raise their children in safety. A place where you don't have to worry about avoiding anything, you simply have to not seek it out."

[Gifted]

"But you're saying you want a world without tv or movies altogether. Isn't that a bit extreme? I thought you said you wanted to protect people from the ones who hurt good people."

[Raven]

"No, not without them. Television and movies aren't bad. You can buy DVDs and skip the ads. There are systems to record television and fast forward through the ads nowadays. I just want to filter out the bad things," Kenny said.

[Gifted]

"If you say so." She still trusted him immensely, but that revelation had shaken her a bit. She relied on a lot of movies and TV to keep her sane back in Detroit.

[Raven]

"Abigail, I'm not going to take away Spiderman," he said, smiling. "I just mean to block out sexual movies, those that might steer those who I care for in the wrong direction. Pornography and torture. All the terrible things that the media feels it needs to share with us, though it should never be done."

[Gifted]

She smiled sheepishly. "Alright. I guess I understand. You're just looking out for people."

[Raven]

"It's what I do," Kenny agreed. "A habit, if you will. You don't mind if we head to the kitchen so I can make something to eat?"

[Gifted]

"Sure." She got up and followed him, eating her own lunch.

[Raven]

That was when there was a knock on the door. Kenny frowned. "I wasn't expecting anyone," he said to Abigail, but went to answer the door anyway. "Oh, hello, Nathaniel. Of course, come in. You can meet Abigail." The new man who came in looked much better than when Kenny had first found him, though that was a bit needless to say. He was a year older than Kenny, but it was very clear that he revered the man whose house he was in. Kenny, in his turn, respected Nathaniel as a friend and colleague. "Abigail, this is Nathaniel. I teach him as well."
Nathaniel grinned. "He's humble. He did a lot more than teach me, he healed me. At any rate, it's nice to meet you, Abigail."

Abigail smiled. So she wasn't the only one! "It's nice to meet you too." She said kindly.

[Raven]

"Is it just Abigail, or do you go by something else?" Nathaniel asked. "You can call me Nate, if you like." It wasn't a question Kenny had asked, since, though it added a little bit of formality, he also thought using full names added a bit of subtle power at his end.

[Gifted]

"I went by Abbey back home, but Abigail's fine." Abigail would rather distance herself from that.

[Raven]

Nathan nodded. "Alright. So when did you meet Mr. Clark?" He jerked his head towards Kenny, grinning. Kenny went about making himself a BLT.
