"I will help you however I can, Nicholas. I promise." I shut the door again and quickly let Danielle and Azalynn out. "Sorry, guys. You don't have to stay here if you don't want to, if you do, you're promising to work with me."

"Wait so the hell just happened? She fucking strangled you." Azalynn asked. "I thought they were going to kill you!" Danielle added worriedly.

"They had to make sure that I wasn't God," I said, trying to sound reassuring. "Once I was knocked out, and they could be sure that I wouldn't be able to use anything against them, they asked their spy to make sure that God was really the one still in her castle. The spy confirmed that she was, and they knew that I was really the one they were looking for. There's no need to worry. It was completely understandable, though I regret that they chose to drag you into it as well." Damn, someone with Kenny's powers would be helpful. If they left, they would know where the base was. "Like I said, you can either stay with me, or you can leave. If you choose the latter, we'll have to determine how to let you leave, as we can't risk you giving away the information of where our base is."

"I'm willing to stay if you think it's a good idea." Danielle said. "I'm just a little uneasy..." Azalynn was more reluctant. "I... I just want to make sure my sister's okay dammit. She wouldn't agree to what's happenning, and if she's on that side..."

"Azalynn, I understand if you want to leave. I know how important Anita is to you, but I also want you to know that going to find her alone could be dangerous," I said.

"I know that!" Azalynn snapped, but then she stopped and tried to calm down. These angry outbursts of hers never did anyone any good. After a moment she composed herself and said "I'll stick around. But I don't have to like it."

"If you don't follow orders, or if you endanger our people, we'll have to take action to stop you," I warned her. "No matter the reason."

"That's fucking obvious, dude." Azalynn pointed out. "Don't you have shit to do?"

"I just thought you should be warned, Azalynn. I like you. Don't leave the compound." I headed to the meeting room Rakel had given me directions to.

After Raven had left, Azalynn looked at Danielle. "Did she just threaten me?" Danielle shrugged. "She just fucking threatened me! I got the Sh*t beaten out of Dionysus for her! She's been hee all of twenty minutes and she's already talking like she's part of a fucking hive mind."
All five people were sitting in the room waiting by the time she made it there. "Hey, you wanted us?" Leia asked.

"Yeah. You're here because I wanted to give you the opportunity to decline the offer, if you want to. I... don't actually know much about this world itself, only the inhabitants, and I don't know God. I also don't exactly know much about war, only what I can guess, and what I've learned from reading and watching, which isn't much. Plus, I don't want to be a tyrant. For the time being, I chose you five, because from what I know, you are all going to be loyal, and you are a good representation of the rest of the people upstairs. Basically, I want everything to be held on a vote, more or less, between you."

"That makes sense." Leia nodded, but Rakel and Xander in particular didn't look particularly cheerful about this decision.

Aaric seemed to approve, and Katrina looked worried. I figured Katrina was probably just uncertain about being here herself, but couldn't figure out Rakel and Xander, so I addressed them first. "Is there a problem...?" I questioned.

Rakel didn't answer, but Xander spoke up. "Just this. God does things dictatorially, correct? There's a reason for that. Eveyone getting a say is great and all, but that doesn't exactly lend itself to fast reactions. We could be down here debating one plan or another all day without coming to any sort of conclusion. Meanwhile, her ability to change strategies of a whim will be butchering us. I'm not saying we shouldn't get any imput, but having organized formal votes puts us at a serious disadvantage."

I nodded, thoughtfully. "Then instead, it will be more of an advice panel. The decision will be mine, and I will make it based on all of your inputs. That way, I can make an informed decision as quickly as possible. Anyone who cannot be found won't get a say. Would that work better?"
