Xander set off deeper into the forest without a word. Stupid agents taunting him about Sharie... torturing her when they knew he couldn't do a thing about it, trying to use his friends against him.. they deserved every bit of what had come to them.

Ben decided to remain silent to let Xander stew. He didn't think he could do anything better than what Xander's own thoughts were doing for their cause. That teleporter had been a godsend.

Xader didn't talk much at all that day, even after his anger subsided quite a while later. He was lost in his own thoughts, and after his anger had finally abated he couldn't help but feel terrified for her well-being. "We have to help her somehow." He finally said that evening.
