The Stereotypical Evil Overlord Role Play

[Raven]

Auburn grinned, dodging just in time and throwing a punch at Gabriel's face.
Francis tried to throw her off him, pain causing the edges of his vision to turn black.
Vaalea snapped at Josh's leg.

Ben stumbled backwards away from the snake, not thinking clearly enough to protect his eyes.

[Gifted]

The punch hit and Gabriel staggered back, losing focus for the moment. Dammit... she had fire superpowers, what was he supposed to do...
Josh almost screamed in pain as the animals teeth sunk into his flesh. They were going to kill him. Come on Josh, think! At least come up with some sort of last words...
Amber advanced on his pathetic form. "You ought to feel lucky you fought me and not my siblings." She told him as he fought not to cry. He would. Not. Cry. He'd look like even more of an utter wimp if he cried. "They would've wanted to play with you before murdering you. I'd rather make it fast."

Ruby advanced on Ben from the side and finally got her hands on him, bringing the blade up to his throat. "This is goodbye, Benny Boy." She hissed in his ear. She gave a high pitched giggle.

Suddenly she was blasted backwards, and her children reacted in shock as she let go of Be and blew back thirty feet, hitting Amber before slamming into a wall and almost being knocked out by a single hit. Amber hit the concrete and looked up from where she'd hit, hand going to he blood rushing from her head. But everyone else was watching Ruby as she lost her grip on her knife and it went spinning out of her hand.
Joan was standing there, directly across from where Ruby had landed, her eyes blazing and palm out in front of her. The sleeves of her worn sweater were pushed back up to her elbows and at this moment, she no longer looked like a hopeless empty shell. Just for a moment, they could see the strong, steadfastly determined woman who had led a rebellion and fought almost to the last man fifteen years ago shine through.
"You. Leave those boys. The hell alone, Crockford!" She thundered.

[Neon]

"Alright, I'm ready to go now," Jeanne said, taking his hand. She had traded out her crossbow for small pistols and plenty of bullets. She got rid of the currencies for more bandages, gauze, antiseptics, and Epipen. She felt a lot more prepared.

[Raven]

Alex squeezed her hand and thought of the church. He felt his hand momentarily separate from hers before they got there, but when they did, they were holding hands again. "They aren't back yet."

Ben dropped to his knees, breathing heavily as his heart beat fast. It took him a moment, and in that moment Kumair - who was still a mere 5'3" - flicked a finger at Joan, sending a sharper telekinetic force towards her. Francis used Flare's distraction to throw her off of him, punching her head to try to knock her out. Vaalea released Josh and looked for Colsheen, clearly worried. Rory's eyes were on his mother. Auburn's hand lit on fire, and she glanced towards her mother, then she focused on Gabriel again.

[Neon]

"Can you sense where they are?" she asked, thinking they might need help.

[Gifted]

Joan was slashed across the stomach and flinched backwards in pain. Without pausing to take in her damage she sent a blast at Kumair, hoping to at least knock the boy off balance.
Josh couldn't help but cheer. "Whoot! You rock Joan! Did I call it or did I call it?" He tried to push himself to his feet but only sort of managed it, the leg that Vaalea had bitten gushing blood.
Ruby's knife was left lying on the ground as Joan turned first to her greatest ally and close friend, Ben. "Are you okay?" She looked over to him briefly, worried about his state, though she kept her guard up for an attack.
Gabriel grinned as well and tried to take advantage of Auburns distraction.
Flare was knocked back and hit the ground, barely able to stay awake by sheer force of will. She was afraid of letting her family down.
Ruby was awake too, but about in the same condition as her daughter. She pushed herself up and wavered unsteadily.

[Raven]

Kumair was thrown backwards more easily than most due to his small size. He hit a wall, though not nearly as hard as Ruby and Amber.
Ben straightened and wrapped up the end of his cable. "I'm fine, let's do this," he met Joan's eyes, his own showing all the gratitude he wouldn't say out loud.

[Gifted]

Joan nodded. "Make sure the others don't get themselves killed. Powerless dumbasses didn't listen to a damn word I said." She shook her head and raised her voice. "You three! Hurting the animal hurts it's human, don't fight them like they're separate entities! It'll only slow you down!"
Scarlett sent a flood of fear through the group, hoping to slow Joan down and make it easier to kill everyone else. Unfortunately Joan (and I'm assuming Ben) had dealt with plenty of fear n her life, and if anything it just sharpened her focus. When Risette lunged at her she used her telekinesis to stop it and then kicked the dog in the stomach.

Gabriel tried to kick Auburn in the knee, trying to make her leg give out on her.

[Raven]

Auburn gasped and dropped to her knee as her leg refused to stay under her. She shot fire at him, but her aim was off.
Francis looked at Josh and went to help with Rory, preferring to take the man to the animal in this case. He circled around as Vaalea tried to knock Josh over again and kicked the back of Rory's knee, making both Vaalea's and Rory's leg go out underneath them much like Auburn's. His blow wasn't as strong as it could have been, but luckily at that particular spot it didn't matter.
Ben's vision sharpened as adrenaline rushed through his body. He picked up Ruby's knife and glanced at all of the parties who were down and not being fought, but he decided to help Joan so that they would both be unoccupied. He whipped his cable at Scarlett.

Gabriel moved half a step, but the flames had mostly missed him. He aimed a kick at her stomach.
Flare took advantage of the fact Francis was no longer fighting her and shot a stream of boiling hot water at the back of Bens head with the force of a pressure washer. Meanwhile, Liolu changed into a small, mangy stray cat and darted around the legs of the combatants to sink his claws into Francis's flesh.
Josh grinned "Thanks Francis." He hated that he was the weakest one here, and wished he could do more. Then he noticed Liolu. "By your leg, Francis!"

[Raven]

Francis turned and kicked Liolu with as much force as he could manage.
Ben screamed and tried to move away from the water, his eyes overflowing. It wasn't a pain he was used to, the heat combined with the substance.
Auburn doubled over and struggled to breathe.

[Gifted]

Liolu let out a high pitched mew, hit a wall, and Flare was immediately knocked unconscious.
Amber tried to take advantage of Francis's distraction with the kitten by punching him in the back of the head but in her mind she knew this fight wasn't going to last much longer. Wenkeling had given them their second wind and almost completely turned the tide. Flare was out cold, Auburn was incapacitated, and she doubted her mother could take more than one more good hit. Scarlett had lost her knife to Ben and Ruby's knife was in Joans hands. It was time for them to fall back and regroup. But good luck convincing Rory of that.
Gabriel was unfortunately too kind to press his advantage. Taking her as incapacitated, he turned away from her to go after whoever was left, or help whomever needed it.
Scarlett frowned, realizing now was a bad time now was a bad time to use her power since they were all scared anyway. Risette turned into a ram and charged Ben, But Joan blocked that. Desperate, wishing her brother would back her up, She turned to take on Ben with her own hands while Risette fought Joan.

[Raven]

Francis winced at Amber's blow, but then turned around to punch her in the face.
Auburn stayed there for a second before she staggered to her feet.
Ben grabbed her arm and shocked her hard.

"WENKELING," Rory shouted, his arm around Josh's neck and a knife pressed to his chest.

[Gifted]

Joan whipped around as someone shouted her name - and completely froze.
It was like Rick's capture all over again. What the hell was she supposed to do for Josh? just like Rick, Rory had positioned Josh in front of him with his arm around Josh's throat so he couldn't be hit without also hitting Josh. And Josh already looked beat. Rick could've taken that blast because he was a strong determined man in his prime with a lot of stamina at the time of the incident. Josh was still very much a scared, hurt boy. A boy who looked like he was about to pass out, from blood loss from that leg if nothing else. She watched Rory like a hawk but didn't move to attack. She would though, if Rory tuned his knife on Josh.

Rory smirked. "I think she cares after all," he said to Josh, though he wasn't being quiet. "Wenkeling, I'm sure you know how this works, don't you?" He tapped the flat end of his knife against Josh's chest.
