Lost Island and Human Testing

[Raven]

"Emily?" Tabitha called joyfully from the commons area. "It's time for your treatment!"
Emily looked terrified, looking at Jane for advice. "What does she mean?"

Janes eyes widened. "These assholes gave you Tabitha on the first day?" she hissed under her breath. "Normally they have another guy prep you first, sometimes people get lucky and Pushover makes a run in. The oinly reason the scientists come in here is to grab a kid for testing," She looked around nervously before walking out to annoy Tabby and stall for time for Emily. "Oh lookie, who let the tabby cat in?" she asked as she walked into Tabitha's view.

"You can pay enough attention to learn my name, very good!" Tabitha said enthusiastically. "Or, part of it, anyway." She smirked.
Emily curled up on the bed. She didn't want to go. Not at all.

[Gifted]

"Whatever, but listen. We don't like no Organized Crime around here. Or Crime in general, actually." Pride smirked.

[Raven]

"We should get along well, then, Pride. You see, I am helping people here," Tabitha told her, smiling in what was supposed to be a reassuring manner.

[Gifted]

Pride held both her middle fingers up at Tabitha. "F-you lady. Tell me what happened to that other kid then? Madonna, or whatever his name was? The one with the retarded parents? How come I haven't seen him since last week when you yanked him out of here?"
((FTR she's only calling his parents retarded because that name is retarded for a boy. ))

"He went home," Tabitha lied easily. "It's really too bad Tony won't let me help you... Instead he's so very mean." She made a pouty face.

[Gifted]

"I don't believe that. Nobody leaves this place, Mr. Big Shot won't allow it, now will he?" Pride snapped. She deeply mistrusted this girl, and she wondered if she could make this liar slip up.

[Raven]

"Shh, you'll have me caught," Tabitha whispered. "There are ways, Pride. Not even he can see everything."

[Gifted]

The suddenness of Tabitha's comment startled Pride. Could she really be telling the truth? Had Madonna escaped? But he'd always seemed so traumatized when he came back from her sessions...
She only could think of one card to play. She would draw attention to her messed up hands. If Tabitha was lying, she'd milk that for all it was worth. If she wasn't, she'd know enough about Tony and his way of doing things to know he hadn't done that deliberatley. She would be watching the other scientists closely, to be able to tell who had what kid and what kind of condition they'd be in and how often the kid was asked for. Of course, she'd probably know that even if she was lying but she wouldn't use it, she'd try to convince Pride she was telling the truth.
"And how am I supposed to know if I can trust you?" she asked, placing her hand on the couch arm as if absentmidedly. She them winced, took the cloth off that hand, and blew on it. "Damn cardoni.. this is too much," she muttered, though Tabitha could still clearly hear and see Pride's winces of pain.

"I thought you couldn't feel pain," Tabitha said, frowning.

[Gifted]

"Usually I can't," she replied, sighing. "But he whipped me really bad this time, I don't think theres any skin left on my hands. He's whipped whatever protection there was on me away and now I can feel pain again," Pride told her. "But dammit, it hurts," she blew carefully onto the hand she'd taken the cloth off of. "And the stupid, inept doctors here," she added for effect, and also because it was true. "tape cloths to my hands and call me good."

"I'm sorry... That doesn't sound like Tony, though. Doesn't he like whipping everywhere the same amount?" Tabitha asked.

[Gifted]

"Normally, yeah," she said, surprised that Tabitha was bringin that up. "He was trying to hit me in the stomach from behind, and he hit my hand... and he just kept trying," she sighed. That was almost true. He'd moved a tiny amount each time, so if she stayed normally he'd hit her where he wanted, but of course she'd delibratley twitched to catch the whip. "And then when I complained about the pain, he said it was 'interesting information' that he 'hadn't considered testing for,"

"That's horrible." Tabitha paused "I should probably go get Emily now."
