"We aren't very sure," the guard said slowly, wary of the bards' look, "We haven't had any human cases yet, so..." He shrugged. "If that's all, I'll be off. My name's Captain Richard," he added, before leading the pitiful guard out the tavern.

I turned to the man. My blonde hair fell into my face and I pulled it back into a ponytail with my ribbon. "I suppose we're to work together now. My name's Violet," I told him, smiling slightly.

" My name is Vickas nice to meet you, go ahead and loot anything left behind here...I need to get some spell components." I walked over and quickly got what I needed before returning.

I smiled, then went to the back to see if I could find anything. There was very little there, a bit of gold (the barkeep probably had the nights earnings on his person), and the rest wasn't something I cared to carry around. "I'm taking it you aren't the most honest person, either, so I'll tell you now," I said as I came back, "don't even bother trying to find my purse. It's hidden, and I will know if you try to take it, supposing you can find it." I tossed Vickas the gold, not caring to keep any, or, rather, to get to my purse.

I was holding a few lumps of wax inside of small pouches and a few candles which I put into my rucksack. After adjusting myself I spoke to her," I'll take your word for it and leave it be... We should probably head out." my hand was tightened around my own coin pouch due to paranoia.

I nodded. "Don't you need to visit the shop?" I inquired, planning to follow him and loot the store if I could.

"Not really I found some extra components in my bag...we could always stop by there anyway." I looked over to the store and thought of a good way to distract the shopkeeper.

I followed him, heading for the trees outside of town. I held the newly aquired dagger in my hand, just in case I needed a weapon quickly. "Any idea where we're going?" I asked Vickas.

Vickas set off towards the east; the forest was west of the town. Even though it was dark, it wasn't too hard to see the massive, dark shapes looming west of Teak. A howl punctured the night from the direction of the forest.

I stopped and if I wasn't facing away she would have seen my face change color with embarrassment, I turned around and spoke,"I knew that..." I drew my sword so Iwould have it ready and followed her out of the west side of town.
