In this role play I am going to be the narrator as all of your characters traverse through my mind. They will face danger and excitement as they try to escape my varying levels of consciousness. Site rules, obviously. I'll post certain limitations for each section.

Mad? why certainly he did consider himself to be quite mad and everyone simply calls him a hatter, who needs the formaility of a real name? This particular hatter seemed to be about the age of seventeen and he had found himself quite lost, in a strange world. He wore clothing that to him was very plain, black pants adhorned with silver decorum covering his matchingly black boots. He wore a dark yellow top which had similar silver decorations scattered about, and of course his head was topped with a pleasant black top hat bound with a ribbon of the same color, a rose nestled in between the two pieces of cloth. His cold ivory skin was the only thing that dared defy the gloomy scheme of the clothes that seemed to me that of one who would attend the common wedding He brushed his onyx colored hair from his face with his gloved hand and sighed looking out into the exquisite world before him. His yellow eyes shone and he started to explore this new place, he twirled a black cane by his side as he walked.

Trisha groaned, feeling the shallow scratches and uncomfortable prinpricks that come from sleeping on a bed of forest needles. rubbing her eyes, she sat up to brush the needles off that would no doubt be clinging to her blue fleece V neck. Then she realised there were none. Huh? she shook out her wavy brown hair. No pine needles there either. Looking around, she was fully awakened by the shock of her flashy, unreal sorroundings. this wasn't the pine forest she'd fallen asleep in. Looking at the beautiful silver and gold trees, she suddenly realised: Where was Jack? "Jack!" she cried, her green eyes alight with fright, until she spotted him asleep peacefully on the ground. She and Jack looked nothing alike. Jack had bright red hair, chubby cheeks that looked so cute on little boys, and blue eyes. She nudged him, cooing to him and singing until he woke up. As usual, it took a long time. "Time for waky waky, buddy," she said, and finally, she gave a small groan and sat up, rubbing his eyes. Looking back, Trisha saw a purple path through the trees that she was certain hadn't been there a moment ago. Someone wanted them down there. Picking up her little brother, she kissed him on the cheek. "Do you think we should go?" she whispered to him. "I wish I could understand you all the time," a small voice, quite unlike her brothers but just as young and innocent sounding, spoke from nowhere. "Tired... huh? what do you mean Trisha?" It was her brothers inner voice, and only Trisha could hear. because she wished.

"Oh dear, looks like I've run out of paint again..." The girl, who had been reclining on one of the strangely colored trees, stood and skipped onto the purple trail. Her long brown hair , that was mangled and knotted yet lay limp on her small fragile head, bounced and as she skipped down the strange path, her flowing knee length dress fluttered in the wind rushing past. She looked so young and innocent even though she was a mature age of 16. As she slowed, she spotted what she was looking for. "Come now birdie, don't be afraid of little Annabelle!" She climbed stealthily up the tree and waited. Annabelle didn't have to wait long, and small purple bird landed on a branch that was just above her. With cat like reflexes she grabbed the bird and broke its neck with a flick of her wrist. She quickly jumped from the tree, and stabbed the birds stomach with a small dagger that was hidden in a small bag between the ruffles of her skirt. As the liquid oozed out, she tried to contain it in a small bottle that was also hidden in her skirt. Satisfied with the results, Annabelle threw the dead bird to the side, closed the bottle, and continued skipping down the path. Her hands, still bloody, made stains on her white dress when they brushed up against it. She smiled, and sang a solemn song as she went on her way.

Cathrine lay in the grass, her arm and legs stretched out, like how one would make a snow angel. She was admiring the trees. The gold and silver ones. Delicate leaves hung from their bending branches. It was so strange and yet so familiar at the same time.
The girl wore a slight smile on her face, an unconscious smile, a smile that, perhaps, showed that she was slightly insane. Her gray eyes flickered from tree to tree every so often, the only sign, apart from her deep breathing, that she was actually alive.
Suddenly, she sat up, the movement swift and easy. She blinked a few times, the smile still displayed on her face. Etched into it.
Cathy jerked body away from the ground, extending it into a standing position. Her chocolate coloured hair fell over her shoulder, strands of gold glinting in the light. A snowy-white dress fell to the ground, making her look taller than she was.
"I wonder if there are people here," she mused, her voice fluttery. People were nice. You could touch them. They were real.
Cathy began walking, making no noise as her bare feet passed through the grass. She would find people. Or they would come to her.

A sign appeared near the path. "Castle of Darkness," it read. Then another came from nowhere. "Castle of light." The first pointed down the path, the second up it. A creature paced along the path, between the signs. It seemed to be talking to itself.

The hatter looked at the new signs that appeared to appear out of nowhere. He read them both quickly and walked past the creature. He stared at it for a minute his black cane sang as he twirled it throught the air. After a minute he decided to talk to it," There hello why, day beautiful is it not?" He smiled broadly and his yellow eyes formed two sharp points."

Cathy came across a path. A purple path. "Maybe there are people down there," she said, pointing down the path. She waited, almost waiting for an answer before she started walking down the path. Soon, she reached the signs. And the hatter. The hatter appeared to be... a person! Ignoring the creature and signs, Cathy sprang around him so she was facing him. She cocked her head to the side slightly, the smile still present. She then reached up and touched his face.

The creature looked up at the two odd beings. They were truely not from the forest, but maybe one of the castles... "I asked the shoulders which castle to attend, but they never agree! This one," it guestured at the left shoulder, "says the Castle of... light... The other says the Castle of Darkness! I know not which to believe for I have forgotten which is the demon and which is the angel!"

Hatter smiled and look at the girl who touched his face, he tilled his head in the opposite direction and then said," Might I be able to help you?" His face showed no emotion and he lifted his cane up and lightly tapped her on the head. He did the same to the stane creature and then said," Well isn't that obvious you should go to the castle of the light I you wish I will go with you, go ahead and go first while I have a chat with this girl here."

The creature looked relieved that someone had openly told it what to do and started onto the trail formed by the trees in the direction of the Castle of light. "Thank you, kind sir! If you have else to attend to, you don't have to come," it called.

"Oh, interesting..." Annabelle had just stumbled upon some people! "Annabelle is interested." She decided to watch the strange people, maybe something exciting would happen. With quick grace, she climbed up a nearby tree, and watched. "Annabelle must be quiet, so the people don't see her." thought the strange girl. And so, she was quiet.

"It talks!" Cathy cried, jerking her hand away and taking a few steps back. The smile disappeared, replaced with a look of horror. "The person talks! How does the person talk?" She completely ignored the cane and gripped her wrist as if her hand had been burnt upon touching him. "What is this person?"

Hatter looks at her, and started twirling his cane again befre speaking," Is this such an odd display to you, is this perhaps something your world doesn't understand?" he slowly approached her and smiling widely.

Cathy stumbled away from the person, suddenly scared. "A person does not talk," she said slowly, shaking her head. "Why does this person not understand?" The girl stepped onto the grass, still rubbing her hand. She shook her head again. "How does this person talk?" she repeated, fully unaware that she herself was a person, and apparently, people don't talk.
