Trisha sighed. They obviously hadn't noticed her, but she couldn't sit here any longer. She got up, made sure jac was okay, then trudged through the trees in the opposite direction.

Cathy frowned. "You talk. But you have a name? You are a most odd creature," she called, a little disappointed. Wasn't there any people out here? "Hatter, do you know where the people went?" she asked after a moment. Maybe there were people down the path. Or in the forest. Yes, maybe.

He shrugged and looked to Cathy before replying," Who knows? If you want we can go look for the people, it would probably be best to travel in this pack for now." He pointed his cane down the path and spoke to both of the others" Shall we be off now?"

Cathy nodded vigorously. "Yes, yes, yes, Hatter!" she said, jumping to her feet. She had went from disappointed to ecstatic in, literally, a few seconds. "Come, Hatter, come!" And with this, she twirled off down the path, not bothering to check if he was following.

Trisha heard them coming. "Aw, crap," she muttered. They'd find her in a secound. Then she thought of something

Hatter hopped along the path with his head tilted to the path ahead, He was widely smiling and swinging his cane around haphazardly. Hearing a slight noise he stood up straight and began to investigate, what he came to see was a girl holding a smaller person. he threw his hat over and from behind her he asked," Why hello there what might they call those?" He pointed at the baby with his cane and looked at the Trishia.

She jumped back as if startled. She didn't want them to pester her and didn't want them to find out about Jacks powers, so she had a plan. She just wouldn't talk. They were already do ridiculously idiotic that they thought humans couldn't talk, so she'd just play up the fact she was human.
She clutched Jack close, as if to protect him, without saying a word or making a sound

He smiled and spoe again," Not talking? You must be a person but what is this thing?" He reached out to Jack and his hand was a few inches away from his face. He waved him hand as if in greeting and smiled at it. "I suppose you couldn't tell me, i know maybe you could show me what this strange tiny person is!"

Trisha wondered if they thought humans could write. she pointed at herself, then made a motion with her one hand, lowering it so it was closer to the floor. She wondered if they'd get younger or smaller out of this, or if she really had to write it out.

Looking at her oddly he reached under where her hand was and ripped out a handful of grass and then spoke," They are good for this? Is this something unwanted that these things eat?" He shoved the grass intoJake's face in case the strange person was hungry.

Wow, What an idiot! She shook her head frantically. pointed at herself, then held her hand flat right next to her head to represent hieghht. she slowly lowered it until it was about two feet off the ground.

Was Hatter talking to the other non-person? Cathy turned around, only to find a girl and a small child. She cocked her head, now curious. Then, realising that they were not speaking, she shouted, "A person!"
Cathy rushed forward, now excited. She had found a person without even looking. "It's a person, a person," she sang merrily, twirling around and around.

Trisha nodded vigorously and pursed her lips. She wondered, now that they'd found her, what were they going to do? head to a castle or something?

Annabelle had already grown tired of these people. She scampered out of the tree and into the strange woods, hopeing to find something new.

Suddenly, Cathy stopped. "What are you called, person. See, people have names and they do not talk. Since you do not talk, I can assume that you are a person. But, you must have a name. That too," she told the girl, pointing at the child.
