Seven groaned. "I just don't get it! It has something to do with the case, but they dont want to share. Rhyme and Kat are going out, and they both know. but barely a week ago, Kat was going steady with Sai. How'd Kat get over Sai so fast? She's been giving him information, and she must know everyone knows by now. Rhyme knows Kats name, but why? And why didn't she send signals that she was lying when she told me there was nothing else?" he lowered his head and put his hand on his temple. "I'm missing something here," he muttered. "Something big," That was the only explanation. they didn't have all the puzzle pieces yet.
"That's it. I'm going out to spy on them. You don't need to be beating yourself up over this," Seven nodded, printed out his word dccument, and went to his bed, laying down and staring at it.
Blue syttepped out and pulled her hairband out, but she was no fool. After spying with Rhyme and on Kat she'd never convince them of the same trick she'd done on velvet. Instead, she threw her hairband in the corner of the hall about two doors down from kat. then she went back to Cats door and got down on her hands and knees, and started moving around, pretending to look for it. she knew she was making a tiny it of noise by moving before they came out, but they wouldn't hear it unless they stopped talking and it would be easier to believe.

Kat resisted the urge to say that kissing might help him think. "Um... The library? We could start by looking at the old case again, or by trying to get to the files on the internet," Kat told him. "Anything could help, but I'm not sure what we'll find. If Seven didn't notice something, then I don't think we will."

[FoxTrott]

"Two heads are better than one," Rhyme responded to Kat's last statement. He stood up from the bed. "Let's go to the library, then."

Rhyme opened the door, and literally tripped over Blue. He landed with an "ack!" on the floor, flat on his face. He stayed there for a few moments, groaning over the fact it was the second time he had done that today. Finally, Rhyme got to his knees.

"You're not doing a very good job of being a door mat, Blue," he observed.

[Raven]

"Hello, Blue," Kat greeted, not letting on that she thought Blue was spying on her yet again. "We were just going to go try to find something to help us with the case. I doubt we'll find much, but it's worth a shot."

[Gifted]

"Ow!" she hadn't considered the fact Rhyme might walk out and injure her.
"I am NOT in the mood for your corny jokes at the moment Rhyme," she snapped. "I lost my hairband, I swear I dropped it around here and I thought it might've jammed in one of the doors along here. Can you help me look for it?"
Then she bit her lip. She hoped if anyone other than her found it, it'd be Cat. She'd written on the inside of the band, written stuff she'd really rather not have Rhyme - or anyone for that matter, but Cat knew half her story anyways - read.

"Ad before you ask Cat, no I am NOT spying on you again, I was on my way to the library as well when I realised my hairband was gone!" she snapped, almost annoyed with the obvious conclusion she knew Cat would come up with.

"I wasn't going to ask, though now that you bring it up, why would you admit to spying on me? If anything, I'll take that as proof you were spying on me and Sai at least once. I don't have proof, but I don't think you'd even think about that if you weren't," Kat said furiously. "And your hairband isn't exactly hard to miss, you act like you've lost a contact!" She went to help Rhyme up.

"No you were going to assume!" she snapped., then she remembered a little joke her mom would always say. "You know, if you assume you make an ass out of you and me," she cracked a sarcastic smile."Considering you caught me following you twice, it's an obvious conclusion!"she said. "And for your information, when I first came here I had to throw my diary away and wrote on the inside of my hairband. I'd rather not have people reading it thank you very much,"she added. then she went over to where it is. "Here it is, geez," she streatched it out in front of her, at a particular angle that might have happened by accident, so Rhyme and Cat could see Sharpie all over the inside of it as she put it on.

Rhyme waved Kat off, and managed to get up by himself. Luckily, his nose wasn't bleeding, but it was sore as heck. He was about to give a snarky response to Blue when he saw what was written on Blue's headband.

"Sheesh, Blue," he said, turning his head so he could see some of the writing, "I never knew you were even capable of deep emotion."

[Raven]

Kat glared. "Come on, Rhyme. We have better things to do than talk to her. And you can stop following me around all the time. Rhyme is part of the case and I'm not Kira," she sneered at Blue. Then she turned and stalked down the hall towards the library.

"Oh very funny," she snipped. She made sure the hairband was flat on her head so he could not read it, and said "Well, thanks for you're help. Now I must get going, I'm running an errand for Seven in the library," she said. only the in the library part was a lie, her mission for Seven was done. and she'd learned absolutley nothing.

It looked like he was going to need to take drastic measures.

"And for the record," she said, slowing her pace just a tad to keep Kat in sight. "I never did think you were kira. The first time I needed to talk to you about something and it slipped my mind after you know what happened, the secound time I thought you were giving information to Sai, which by the way you now cant talk yourself out of because I saw proof with my own eyes, and I wasn't following you this time!"

"We're going to the library, too, Purple," Rhyme said, leaving with Kat. "You aren't getting away from us that easily." He turned to Kaitlynn, grabbed her hand, and made a "nyah-nyah" motion with his other hand at Blue, tongue sticking out.

[Raven]

Kat spun around and glared. "Well you certainly don't seem to trust me much! Tell me, what errand besides spying on me do you have for Seven? I heard him, he thinks we're keeping something from you guys!" By that time she was shouting. "If you can't trust me, then you can keep me out of the case. I'll investigate on my own."

[Gifted]

"I'm checking him a book on Kira out from the library if you must know!" she yelled "You can't believe everything on the internet, so he wants a more solid to work with!" she yelled back. "I don't trust you because you revealed evidence to an outsider, you aren't suupposed to tell people about the investigation! And for your information, we lost that option when you people suckered Seven into making that stupid voice over for our 'new L type figure'. I didn't want anything to do with it! But of course nody gives a damn what Blue thinks, just because she lost her brilliant inventor her team is inadequate!" She yelled back. Fighting back tears she sprinted down the all, into the alley, grabbed a Kira book off the shelf at random, and was checking it out before the two even came in.

As it so happened, they didn't come in. "Rhyme," Kat said, "I suddenly had a change of heart. In the mood for ice cream?" Before she got an answer, she was walking away from the library, towards the front door.

Rhyme was about to ask what Blue meant by losing her brilliant inventor, but Kat quickly wiped that question from his mind. "I'm always up for ice cream," he said, licking his lips, "Even if it means forsaking the case... Yum!"

Being in love must come with telepathy... Or I'm really easy to read. Either way, ICE CREAM~!
