Wanting to join the conversation, Rhyme wandered down to the courtyard, not bothering to shut the window. He caught Kat and Blue's (or some other color's, he couldn't remember) conversation about getting close to Kira.

"Why are you so quick to volunteer?" he asked, sneaking up behind Kat, "It's more than a little dangerous to reveal yourself like that... Unless you know Kira." He inserted himself into the group's conversation. "Anyway." Rhyme hoped no one had noticed his extended absence. "Kira's probably expecting someone to be onto him, and we--the Whammy Kids--are the ones most likely to be onto him. So he should already know that we're onto him."

Rhyme shrugged. "If he's not expecting it, though... Then he's one stupid Kira."

[Rachel]

"If we do anything like what L did, it's going to be a risk. And Kira will probably know better, seeing as this had already happened before... but he might not. I mean, not that many people know the exact details of the last incident... unless they were involved with the last case or a Wammy's leaking information." Velvet looked at her drawing book as she said this.

[Raven]

"Which is exactly why we need to try this!" Kat pressed. "And I have no idea who Kira is. Besides, the only ones I know who have access to a pen are you guys."

[Gifted]

Fricking Velvet! Teale fought, with success, to keep the scowl off her face. You don't come out and SAY it, Teale was going to handle it!
"I just think putting ourselves out there is a bad idea. Though...." she trailed off, an idea forming in her head.
"This would be risky, and probably mildly disrespectful, but it would freak Kira out," she took a deep breath. "What if we brought L back from the dead? One of us appears on tv, acting as L. I mean, Kira came back after thirty years, why can't L? If we made it convincing enough...." She trailed off, thinking about it.

[Raven]

Kat nodded. "Then who's going to be our L? Since me being out there was so warmly welcomed," she said.

[Rachel]

Velvet nodded. "It could work, Blue. And I have nothing against you going for it Kat," she said quietly, running a hand through her hair.

[Gifted]

"personally I think Rhyme can screw off, I have no problem with you doing it if you want," Blue said honestly.
" I can recreate the voice for whoever does it," Seven said absentmindedly.

[FoxTrott]

"Thanks, Purple, or whatever your name is," Rhyme replied with a sigh. "Anyway, this isn't like a comic book, where you can bring someone back from the dead and expect no one to think, oh, wasn't that person dead? You'd have to create a new, L-like figure."

"And this is if we're dealing with a mentally competent Kira," he added.

[Raven]

Kat rolled her eyes. "You're the only one arguing, Rhyme," she pointed out. "You haven't even been around for the last month."

[Gifted]

Blue rounded on Rhyme "First of all, My name is BLUE. Get it right. and secound, Kira was dead too. So what the heck is your point?"
Then Blue raised her eyebrows. "You know, Cat has a point,"

[Rachel]

"And if we're not?" Velvet asked, curious as to what Rhyme was thinking. "And, Kat, we have to think about these things. He's right. L did die." She narrowed her eyes slightly, thinking about what he had said. He was right. Why had no one thought of this?

[Raven]

"Was it even released to the public that L died?" Kat retorted.

[Rachel]

"Does it matter? Like I said, he could have been involved with the last case," Velvet snapped back, deciding not to bring up her suspicions of Kat again.

[Gifted]

She sighed. "Thats the point. Look, call me crazy, but the Shinigami thing is what gave me the idea. it's a God of Death. A shinigami comes, and Kira appears. so what if a Shinigami comes, and L appears too? it's not that farfetched,"
Then that comment pulled her up short. "I actually don't know. I always assumed Near revealed it once Light died, but I could be wrong...."

[Raven]

"They didn't even tell them that Kira died, why admit L's death. I'm kind of thinking L has been a name passed on for generations. He's never been that well known by the public, so no one got suspicious when he's around for several lifetimes. If so, L has died several times and no one knew except the Ls," Kat said.
