Luke leaped to his feet, shouting, "That son of a bitch killed my daughter!" The chair he'd been sitting on fell back. Kenny pulled Raven into his arms, sheltering her in case Luke threw something.
"Luke," Raven said calmly, "we don't know if he's lying. He may have figured out who she was and is using that to make you angry. Remember, those who are angry make stupid mistakes."
Luke glared at her for a moment before sinking to his knees. "I know," he said.
Raven removed herself from Kenny's arms, moving to the keyboard again. That is most regrettable news indeed, she typed.

Yeah. Emric knows how to make a formidable fighting force, unfortunatley. I was there when it happened. This kid named Kanon impaled her with a plant, and Joan lost a one on one gunfight with Emric. I didnn't see that for myself, but Joan wouldn't have considered it a victory unless Emric died, and he said he killed her. I haven't seen her the few times I escape from the room I'm being held in either.

Luke grimaced. Do you have any idea who that girl was? Raven asked.

[Gifted]

Who who was? Rose? No I don't... why was she someone important? He paused to try and remember if she let anything solip then he almost gasped, but managed to conceal it just in time. He remembered when Rose had pulled out her gun.

"Where'd you get that gun?" Darin hissed at her.
"Mm, this?" Rose asked. "From my father. My step father, I mean."
"General Luke Walker," Darin said through his teeth. "Why did he give you a gun?"
Rose held a finger to her lips. "That's not really any of your business, Darin."

No way. Her father was the General of Ravens army. Seriously? Seriously?
He managed just barely not to let hie expression change. This would mean a war with Ravonia, probably. But with a civil war going on at the same time, the country would be torn to shreds!

At this rate, Panem was going to be wiped off the map!

[Raven]

Her father is sitting next to me, why don't you ask him? Raven typed.

[Gifted]

RIck tried to think quickly of a way to back out of this. Surely he knew enough to not have to reveal informatioon that would help Emric! It doesn't matter, she was a good person and a friend to our cause. No matter who she was, her death is a devistating loss
This timehe wasn't so good at controlling his expression, he smirked to himself. Writing all those speeches for Mikaela had certaintly proved one thing: He knew how to move a crowd. He had a strong political mind, he could say something without coming right out and saying it. Convincing two people to not give away a bit of information was fairly easy in comparison to some of the stunts he'd pulled in his day.

[Raven]

Do you know who I'm talking about, Rick? The only person I'd trust with this conversation, Raven was bluffing, obviously. She was asking Rick if he knew who she was in a way that would make another answer appear correct. Because Emric was there, and he was watching.

Rick grinned. Apparently Raven wasn't bad at this either.
yes, I know who you're talking about, but don't go talking about it, Emrics still here remember? Now Emric would focus on the mysterious someone rather than Rose, since Rick looked like he was trying to keep the identity secret. So long as Raven played along, Rick was pretty sure he wouldn't demand answers about Rose.

[Raven]

Of course. My memory isn't that bad, Raven typed. I wouldn't have made an effort to not say his name if not for that.

[Gifted]

Right. Is there anything else you want to know? Rick asked.

[Raven]

Only one thing. What's Gifted's condition?

[Gifted]

Rick looked back at Emric. He didn't know what Gifted's condition was.
"No physical harm done," Emric said. "She's in her room most of the day,"
Rick turned and began typing. I haven't seen her. Emric says she's not hurt, but like I said I haven't seen her so I can't tell you if that's true or not.

[Raven]

Well, I'll see in about a week at the world meeting. By the way, Emric, if you try anything you'll be far out of your league. I'll tell Crow to come prepared, Raven typed.

[Gifted]

Rick turned to see Emrics reaction. He shrugged. "Meh, I wasn't gonna do anything anyway."

"Suuuurrree you wern't" Rick muttered. Later, Raven.

Goodbye, Rick, Raven typed, then stood to leave, pulling out her phone.
