Amy smiled. "That's the spirit."
"Anyway, so the crater is all we've got for cover?"

[Raven]

"Unless you two found something," Raven said.

Natalia shrugged. "Just a few bushes. Might be good for sneaking up on the city, but nothing we could retreat to."

[Raven]

"Natalia should probably sneak up on the city from that direction, while we create a distraction on the other side," Ryan said.

[Gifted]

"Sounds good." Amy agreed. "Better than any other plan we have. We can use the crater like a trench."

[Raven]

"Natalia, will you be okay on your own?" Ryan asked, looking at her with concern in his eyes.

[Gifted]

"Don't worry about it. I've faced scarier." She smirked.

[Raven]

Ryan smiled. "I know." He turned to glance at Raven and Amy. "Which way will be faster to the crater?"
Raven turned to lead the way, pointing. "I'm pretty sure this way, right Amy?"
Ryan followed after Raven, then called over his shoulder to Natalia, "I'm still going to worry, though."

"Worry about your own back, you're the one who'll be drawing fire." Natalia called back. She headed back to where she'd seen the bushes, hugging the cliffs so as not to be taken note of.

[Raven]

Once they made it back to the crater, Ryan began pushing up a wall of solid earth with his magic, slowly creating better protection for them once they were inside the crater.

Ryan had hardly started when they saw the large white doors to the city beginning to open. Out stepped the girl in blue, and she seemed to know that the three of them were there.
"Here she comes." Amy murmured.

[Raven]

"Get ready," Ryan said, shaking his head and working faster, moving behind his wall instead of in front of it. Raven pulled out his dart gun and stood beside Ryan, glancing at Amy.

Lady Skye appeared in a little under a minute despite them still being a good five minute walk away. She jumped on the wall and stopped, giving them a close up view of her for the first time, and Amy gasped.
Lady Skye was a young woman in her late teens or very early twenties. But in her face, they saw someone much, much younger. The soft blue cape she wore was definitely a trade up and more like a cloak, but it was very reminiscent of the cheap blue cape they used to see tied around a young girls shoulders. Her bright blue eyes were now hard and threatening, but every one of them had seen them sparkling with innocence and laughter. The familiar blonde hair was now longer, tied in a single ponytail instead of pigtails and decorated with blue streaks. the clothes were different - blue flowery tank tops, running shoes and jean shorts had given way to a strapless heart-necked top with a hard plastic cover, white tights and blue boots - but little accessories were the same. She still wore the gold headpiece with dark blue gemstones just below her hairline that Red had given her when he'd persuaded her to his side. She'd matched it with a new necklace - an extremely large and elaborate gold embroidered thing, with inlaid matching gemstones all designed around a pearl set in the center and large enough to provide some protection to the bare skin above her shirt.

"Skye?" Ryan said, seeming confused.
Raven, on the other hand, looked like he'd had a sudden realization and was kicking himself for not having it sooner. "Of course," he said looking at her.

Skye's eyes widened in shock when she saw the three of them together - and fear, though she was trying to hide that. The only reason they'd seen her stop at all at her magically enhanced speed was that she froze upon sighting them for what would have been several seconds - as it was, it just seemed to them a slight pause. Resuming her movement, she pulled the slender silver sword from her sheath and plunged it towards Ryan's chest.
