"But how did he get all the houses to go along with it?" Liam asked.

[Raven]

"He didn't right away. Some didn't want to be on it, but a fair few saw the benefit of having more resources for the people they were helping, and they knew that Xander was on their side because they'd heard of him. After a while, his safehouses were found out much less frequently than others, and people figured out that it was safer to be with him than not."

[Gifted]

Liam nodded. "That's cool." He said. "So is this school a safehouse?"

[Raven]

"Yes," Kenny said. "Most gifted children come here."

[Gifted]

"But it's not a house, it's a school."

[Raven]

Kenny smiled. "Yeah, you're right. Most of the safe houses aren't necessarily houses. It's just a word for any place where people can be safe and they won't get taken by the government," he said. "One of the safe houses is a farm."

[Gifted]

"A farm?" Liam asked curiously.

[Raven]

"Yep," Kenny agreed. "We have all sorts of facilities so that we can be self-sufficient, for the most part."

[Gifted]

"I've never seen a real farm before." Liam said.

[Raven]

"It's nice, calming," Kenny said. "A lot of the graduates from this school go there, it's one of the larger safe houses since they need people to help grow and harvest the food."

[Gifted]

"Oh." Liam said. "Are all the safehouses big?"

[Raven]

"No, not all of them," Kenny said. "There's the safehouse Xander's team lives out of. Command. That one is pretty small, only people who are really good at what they do are offered a position there."

[Gifted]

Liam smiled. "That's cool."

[Raven]

"This is one of the most non-typical ones. Most safe houses, almost everyone who lives there helps run the place. Here, we have a fairly small team who takes care of everyone else."

[Gifted]

Liam nodded. He never really thought about gifteds working together like that. "That seems dangerous." He noted.
