"Yes sir. Anna, I need you to go with these men for now, okay? They'll find you somewhere you can stay. I hope to see you again sometime."

"Okay. It was nice to meet you, Vincent," Anna agreed, slipping off the stool.

"Nice to meet you too, Anna." Vincent waved as she left his bar.

Ryan Fischer was a calm, patient man who rarely spoke out about things that were happening in Crimson. As far as most people knew, while he'd relied on the Advocates as a child, he'd gotten out at the expense of his sister being his replacement. All of that was a lie, and outside of Ryan himself and his sister, few people knew it. Ryan Fischer was in truth very few of those things, and he was decidedly not indifferent. He was the Devil of Crimson, the leader of the gang that wanted to make the city better.
That was why, as he lounged in the hub where any young Advocate could find a place to stay should they need it, Ryan Fischer wore a mask. He sat back from the others, though there were only a couple people there, just watching the people who were both under his protection and composed his protection.

Kurtis Adams didn't talk about how he'd ended up in a gang much. Anyone who asked him why he was there would get a friendly smile, a shrug, and "I guess I just believe in paying back what I owe." But if pressed as what debt exactly he thought he was repaying he would change the subject. People didn't tend to press that far anyway. Being in a gang was the default position in Soudoyer and drew far less questions than otherwise, no matter the persons personality or tempermant. Whatever the reason, Kurt was loyal to the Devil to a fault and made a good leader in his own right as well - he'd often joked that in the event that the Devil bit the dust, Kurtis wanted his job. He could be a tough motherfucker if he wanted to be, but the muscular blonde boy much preferred friendliness to animosity and was more likely to be offering a hand up than picking fights. So it wasn't surprise that he'd slipped in to tell the Devil about someone he helped, though it might be more surprising who that person was. He smiled and waved at the Devil as he entered and came to sit across from him. "Hey, Devil. How's it hanging?"

Ryan glanced up at his friend, but the smile was hidden. "Doing alright, Kurt. You hear about the fire on the other side of town?"

"Damn. Aw well, more for us." He joked. Then he changed the subject. "So uh, I may have recruited a new girl without asking you."

"Younger kid, looks like she just turned 14 or so. Apparently her mom was some hotshot politician in another town who lost everything and had to move to a house in the Burrow. She seems like just a prep kid, but get this; I fought her for shits and giggles and turns out she's only got five Pokemon, and her strongest one is weaker than all mine, but she still managed to take out three of mine before I won. Her strongest was twenty levels below my strongest."

"Seriously? Damn. She must be clever, then," Ryan said. "Where's she at?"

"She's not used to not getting the fancy three meals a day shit, so she was starving when I ran into her. I sent her up to my moms place, she never passes up giving someone a meal." He laughed. "Swing by my place, you can come meet her."

Kurt cheerfully got up and began to bring his friend to his house. Kurts mother didn't like the Devil. She found the fact that he constantly wore a mask to be sketchy and he was one of the only people who wasn't always allowed in Kurt's house. But Kurt just left him outside for a moment and went in to find his friend. The girl Kurt came out with didn't look like the kind of expert battler who could take out Pokémon twenty levels above her own. She had the thin, lanky look of a pubescent teenager just beginning to hit their growth spurt. Her dark red hair waved around her anxious face and blue eyes that darted around uncertainly. There were only a few, small signs of recent hardship. Though her clothes - today a long sleeve dark green shirt with a Jean jacket and black pants - all had designer labels like you might find in the Ruby district, they were all too small and exposed her wrists and ankles. The other sign was that her extremely dry hands were covered in small cutsize in various stages of healing like she'd stuck her hands in a bucket of thumb tacks. "Rakel, this here is my boss." He said jokingly. "Devil, this is Rakel. She's the one I've been telling you about." Rakel smiled nervously at him. "I hope he's been saying good things." She tried to joke. "...Hi. Sir."
