"Just hand over the wallet," Kenny said, holding his hand out.

[Gifted]

"Okay, okay... I'll give it back, I promise. I'm sorry..." She looked over at the fast food place she'd been gunning for wistfully before reaching for the pocket she kept the wallet in.

Kenny waggled his hand, seemingly most signs of feeling bad gone.

[Gifted]

Where was the owner of this car? For pete sake, nobody saw her get thrown into the car and asked who's car it was or anything? Upset, she pulled out the wallet and handed it back.

[Raven]

Kenny returned his pokemon, then pulled out two twenty dollar bills, handing them over to the girl. "If you steal from me again, it won't end this well for you next time, alright?"

[Gifted]

She was shocked. "Thank you!" Then she figured she'd do the nice thing, since he did. "We oughta get out of here quick - someone's gonna flip at you about the dent in this car." She checked, more obviously concerned this time about whether or not someone was leaving the fast food place angry. "We don't wanna be standing by the car when they come out."

Kenny nodded. "Yeah, probably a good call," he agreed, moving to leave and realizing he still had no idea where to go. He glanced at the girl, and she wasn't the only one who saw someone look outside, their face quickly grow stormy, and move towards the door. "Shit. Better run." Kenny took off again, having only just recently caught his breath.

She darted after him, and quickly caught up with her practiced speed and boundless 8 year old energy. Still, she noted he was out of breath. "Follow me!" She told him, and darted down a side street. When he caught up, she was already up a very large tree, sticking her hand out as if to help him climb up - though there was no way she'd actually be able to support his weight if she tried. "Come on! Up here! Quick!"

Kenny swore under his breath. Of course she wanted him to climb a tree. He didn't hesitate, putting his hands on the branches and hoisting himself up.

Once he was up she moved a branch with one hand so it was covering them slightly better and held it there. With her other hand, she held a finger to her lips. "No one ever looks up." She whispered gleefully, as the angry guy came around the corner looking for them.

Kenny nodded and stayed quiet, looking down to make sure they weren't going to be spotted.

Sure enough, the angry guy looked up and down the street, and in every which direction, but he didn't examine the tree well enough to realize there were people hiding in it. He spent a good ten minutes searching for them but was forced to give up with lots of swearing and head back to his dented car. When he left the little girl let go of the branch she was holding and it shifted back into it's original position. "See? No more running! We're good now." She slipped out of the tree.

"Thanks," Kenny said, dropping to the ground. "So how old are you?"

[Gifted]

"Eight." She responded. "I do this all the time. No big deal."

[Raven]

"So why do you have to steal?" Kenny asked.
