Joan nodded and followed him. It would be a little far from Crucifix's cell, but that was okay. That way if one was found, it was less likely the other would also be discovered.

Ryan showed her the place, which was exactly as he described it. It wasn't as large as their current base, but with it being underground, they could possibly hollow out more. "Thoughts?"

"I like it. Underground is nice, especially." Being under the ground instead of in a plant building made the worst case scenario slightly less terrifying, as there weren't any epics in the city who could crush them in an instant with the walls and floor of their own base that way. Although admittedly there was still the risk of being buried. "Although we might need more space and hollowing it out could take some time."

"It's a bit of a walk from here, On a block supposedly controlled by Flash's clan. Realistically they never actually patrol anywhere but outside, and there's an empty building they keep for 'storage' purposes no one ever goes into. It'll be even less looked at now that they'll be scrambling because Flash is dead."
