[Gifted]

"I got a pretty big chunk of glass to the leg, and some minor cuts, but nothing too serious. It's bandaged and everything." Joan responded.

[Raven]

"Adam?" Ryan asked, well aware he was the best medic they had on the team, though none of them had any official training. That was rare to come by these days. Most professionals were either out of practice and out of supplies or owned by Epics.

[Gifted]

"Yeah, he took a look at it." Joan nodded. She decided not to mention how difficult she'd made it for them because she wanted to be alone at the time.

[Raven]

"Good," he said. "We're estimating twelve hours on her reincarnating?"

[Gifted]

"That's what our current intel says, but she's a new enough epic that we can't be certain. But it's a good enough ballpark estimate."

[Raven]

Ryan nodded, following her the rest of the way. "Right up here?"

[Gifted]

"Yup, just in here." She led him into the building. There was a lot to like about the place; it was even larger than what they currently had, and was even sectioned off into rooms so they could have privacy - something Joan liked very much, as she could sit by herself and work on a plan to catch Crucifix without anyone watching her. She also liked that it was a little bigger, since there would be room for Katrina if she returned. However they weren't underground, and there were people who patrolled the area whom they had to dodge to get inside.

[Raven]

"This is a nice place, too bad about the neighborhood, though," Ryan said. "Maybe our next place, depending on the next leader."

[Gifted]

"We're going to need to move before we can know for sure, though. That's the tricky thing; unless Flash planned a succession and I really doubt he did, there's going to be a power vacuum. I mean this town is basically a cluster of gang sects, and you know how gangs are."

[Raven]

"Sure do," he agreed. "It'll be brutal around here. We don't wanna live close, no matter how nice the place. This is going to turn into a war zone, likely even if he had someone planned to take over."

[Gifted]

Joan nodded. "Yeah. It gets even worse when Epics are involved. There's a reason those gun merchants we met last month only had four people." She'd mentioned that she used to be in their gang, but had said it was pre-Calamity and refused to talk in much detail about it for the purely practical reason of not giving out a ton of information in case people got caught and tortured for information.

[Raven]

"Yeah. Do you wanna head back and help the others pack up?"

[Gifted]

"Sounds good to me." Joan nodded. "The faster we can get out, the better."

[Raven]

"Alright." Ryan headed back that way.
"Hey," Adam greeted when they got back. "You find a place?"

[Gifted]

"Ryan found us a good one, but it'll be a bit cramped." Joan answered. "Still, we'll learn to live with it."
