RWBY Roleplay

[Raven]

"Nice!" Xanthene said. "We'll make a great team. You got any idea what the relics are supposed to look like?"

[Gifted]

"Not a clue. Hopefully we'll know them when we find them." Opal answered.

[Raven]

"I'd guess so..."

"Doesn't the cape get in the way?" Albion questioned as the pair traipsed through the woods.
"I'm used to it," was Roux's response. "It's hard to pinpoint where exactly my body is if there's loose cloth in the way, means things tend to miss."
"Hm."

[Gifted]

"Would you quit slowing us down? I'm certain it's this way." Fuchsia snapped at the new girl she was apparently allied with. The quiet grey woman didn't change her impassive expression.
“Your certainty doesn't help us. A high vantage point gives us the best possible chance of seeing the temple from a distance."
“It's. This. Way. I don’t want you jumping into every tree we come across. We could already BE there if it wasn't for you." The pink haired girl continued to complain.
“I doubt that."
Fuchsia was about to retort when they came out of the trees and saw the other pair in the trees. "Albion!" She recalled. Great! He was just who she was hoping to find. "Who's your friend?"

[Raven]

Albion glanced at the girl who he'd been partnered with. "Oh, this is Roux," he said. "We're a team."

[Gifted]

"Hello!" Fuchsia greeted. “Oh this is Gri. She's the partner I ended up with."
Gri nodded to the pair whom Fuchsia seemed to want.

[Raven]

"Hi. We're gonna get going towards the temple. Good luck," Roux said, moving past them through the trees.

[Gifted]

"As though we aren't doing the same thing!" Fuchsia scoffed. She fell into step beside the pair, Gri trailing a little behind. It didn't make a difference to her if Fuchsia chose these two or another pair to ally them with. Even if they found no one, Gri assumed they'd be assigned a similar pair.
“We should work together!" Fuchsia continued to Gabriel at the pair. “I mean, we're going to end up in fours anyway."

[Raven]

"That is up for our teachers to determine. Plus, they specifically said that we should be in twos for this exercise," Albion said. He said it all kindly - he didn't mean to offend.

[Gifted]

"Yeah but like, they'll probably put us in groups they see us working well together in. Nobody said we couldn’t team up with other groups. Besides, I'm pretty sure this is the only way to really follow the rules." She said as if that settled it.

[Raven]

"What?" Albion asked, baffled. "I'm pretty sure it's not."

[Gifted]

"Well, see, my semblance is a bit unusual. I don't have my own powers, I take the form and borrow the powers of others. Since everyone knows what the Blake family does, I decided to take your form for the landing so I knew what weapons I was working with. When I ran into Gri over here," here she gestured at her quiet grey partner. "I hadn't changed back yet. So if we're supposed to work with the first person we saw, I need to work with Gri, but she really should be working with you. But you need to work with Roux, so the only way for us all to really follow the rules is for all four of us to work together." Fuchsia concluded airily.

[Raven]

Albion found that a bit unsettling, but she did have a point. Still. It didn't make him like it. "Alright, come on, then," he agreed.
Roux looked at the two of them, but didn't object.

[Gifted]

"Great!" Fuchsia fell into step cheerfully beside Albion, leaving Gri to take the back. Gri seemed to be watching behind them for Grimm, am arrow on the string of her bow but pointed down.

[Raven]

Roux maintained a bit of distance, but she was at least a little happy Gri would be joining them. Something crunched in the woods and Roux froze, hearing it despite being furthest from the noise.
