Persecuted and Over-Powered

"Well unless you want him to walk out on us! I'm just telling you what I know, don't shoot the messenger." Stephanie grumbled.

"No, it's good. Thank you, but really. We've gotten little enough sleep lately as it is." He rubbed his eyes.

[Gifted]

"I agree with you, but not much we can do about Rook's inane schedule." She said to the time traveller.

[Raven]

Kailen sighed. "Whatever, I'll figure it out," he said. "I'll pause time again so you can catch up."

[Gifted]

"But what about you?"

[Raven]

"I'll take a walk, go back in time. It won't be nearly as safe, but it'll do..."

[Gifted]

"Are you sure? If an agent sees you..."

[Raven]

"I'll find somewhere safe. Maybe I'll go to my usual spot," Kailen said. "Don't worry, I'll be alright."

[Gifted]

"Alright, but be careful." Stephanie answered. "I don't want to get stuck here without you."

[Raven]

"Don't worry, I won't leave you here alone," Kailen assured her. "After our watch, I'll pause time until you wake up, then we can wait until Rook is ready to go."

[Gifted]

Stephanie nodded. "Alright. Sounds good, if you're okay with it. Thanks."

[Raven]

Kailen nodded. "Of course. We need to do everything we can to make this work." He rubbed his face.

[Gifted]

"Yeah, but I'm more worried about you getting the sleep than me. I don't want you to get hurt, I can stay up and wake you up when Rook wants to go if you need..."

[Raven]

Kailen shook his head. "It won't be enough. Thank you, though, Stephanie. It's better I stay on watch."
