The next morning, they were ambushed by agents. Seven men and women in suits, three with powers, ambushed their camp site in the morning. However, the discipline Rook was teaching them seemed to have paid off; he hardly got involved, and the team of gifteds held their own and managed to kill or send running all of the agents. Rook looked pleased, though he insisted on getting them to move again. It was long before sundown today when he told them he'd decided on the shifts tonight; Himself, Mercy, David and another one of them who'd done particularly well on last shift, Clara and a few others on second shift, and Kailen and Stephanie both on first with two others.
It was hardly ten minutes later when Stephanie fell back so she was walking next to kailen, despite them having not spoken all day. "Don't go to sleep tonight." She told him.

"Yeah, someone needs to be keeping this group safe from agents after they're gone." Stephanie pointed out. "Besides, four to a shift is normal."
