Rook seemed to care little for what his new travelling companions did, but young David was interested. He kept falling back and looking around and grinning at the gifteds around him. Some of them brushed him off as the leader did. Others humoured him. Eventually, he fell back alongside Kailen and grinned at him. "Hi! What's your name?"

"Yup." David misinterpreted Kailens surprise. "Yeah, it's a weird name, huh? I asked him about it, but he said it's 'just Rook' and not to 'ask questions." He rolled his eyes.
