"Then should we get to training or what?" Awhina asked.

[Gifted]

"As I told you, there are specialized facilities waiting for you to practice with your powers, which should be your highest priority at the moment."

[Raven]

"Where?" Awhina asked, leaning forward.

[Gifted]

Xander gave them directions. "You'll have to demonstrate your power so the computer gets it, but the room will tailor its training program for you."

[Raven]

"That's cool," Awhina said.
Ryan looked surprised, but then something occurred to him. "I'm pretty sure my room will just literally try to kill me, you know that?" He shook his head.

[Gifted]

"They're programmed to shut down with a codeword. The default is 'safety' but it's adjustable."

[Raven]

Ryan smirked. "Cool, we get safewords now," he joked. Awhina chuckled.

[Gifted]

Stephanie and Jason laughed as well. Xander didn't react at all. "After you've got a handle on the basic scope of your powers, I'll teach those of you that don't know it the basics of hand to hand combat. I'll come down to see how you'redoing in a couple hours."

[Raven]

Cassie was apparently the only one who didn't get the joke, and looked up at Xander in confusion, but he was already continuing his lecture. "Alright," she agreed.
"So are all of the rooms the same?" Awhina asked.

[Gifted]

"Yes, until you program them to your powers. After that they will be personalized to you until someone wipes the data." Xander responded. Cassie could probably list off which room belonged to whom from memory.

[Raven]

"See you later, then," Cassie said, going to the room that used to be Danielle's. Even though she knew it would have been wiped, there was some small part of her that wondered if there might be a hint she could find inside.
Awhina positioned herself in front of the nearest door, and Ryan went to stand in front of another.

Stephanie, unwittingly, went to the room that used to have Rick's data in it and probably eliminated any chance of Cassie ever coming in to interrupt her training.
The computer system was fairly straightforward. It asked for a name, pulled up their files to confirm, and requested a simple power demonstration. Ryan's was the most complicated because he couldn't simply hit a target, and Cassie had some trouble too, but they both managed to eventually program the rooms correctly. Cassie did not find anything to explain Danielle's sudden turn to the dark side, although messing with the computer she did find out that none of the files had actually been deleted despite most of the fighters never being able to come back; they had just been moved to a non-default setting and locked.

Cassie practiced with her power for an hour or so, then set about reading the files. She already had a better grasp of physical combat than she figured most of the others did, so she could spend extra time practicing with her power if she needed to.

Cassie got into Danielle's file, but it was clearly outdated. It still referred to her as MIA and seemed to have not been updated since the team collapsed. However, it was highly informative, talking about her personality, history before the team - apparently her rich parents had offered her as a favour to one of the higher ups to expand their political clout, and despite Danielle's talents mostly being in art she got in - the progress she made over time while training in the room, her particularly notable roles in the missions - she was highly adept at getting them into well-guarded lairs - and her relationships with the various other members of her team. The file noted that she had correctly predicted the outcome of the 'divisive incident' and fled the base before everything had fallen apart.

[Raven]

Cassie thoughtfully closed the file as she finished reading it, and went back to practicing, thinking about everything she'd just read until Xander came to get them.
