"Alright," Kenny agreed, turning. He followed their direction to the place.

"So what do you mean by members? You part of a secret society or something?" Amy asked with a grin.

"Has Ayane not told you?" Kenny asked, glancing to the older girl, but he answered anyway. "It isn't secret by any means. We're part of a religion."

"She made it sound like you were a new boyfriend. I thought it was good she'd finally manged to land date." Amy laughed. Ayane blushed furiously. "I never said that! I never once said he was a boyfriend!" She protested. "I don't know where you got that idea from!" "You're going to look at me and tell me you didn't make it sound like he was a boyfriend? Do I have to start quoting you?" "I told you there were other girls round all the time! And that my friend Abigail introduced us!" "You said other people, I figured he had friends, and you've never heard of a friend hooking up another friend with a guy she knows? You're nineteen Ayane, get out more."

Kenny chuckled. "Well, this is a new one for me. I'm sorry to disappoint, but as far as I am aware Ayane still hasn't had any dates, though I don't believe that is something that needs to be rushed. When she is ready she'll find the right man. Maybe through the church."

"Well, I guess she happened to leave out the 'religion' part. She was so busy talking you up she forgot to mention it, I guess," She said, teasing her sister

"Not personally." Frustratingly, they'd sat by window, and it was still sunny enough to keep her glasses dark. She seemed interested, though. "But I don't really know."

"Do you believe in God? Sometimes people confuse the difference, but there is one," Kenny said.

"Well, I'm not really sure about that either. I don't think about it much." She laughed.

"That's alright, many people don't, and it is far more virtuous to not know than to disbelieve," Kenny assured her. "But even if you don't put His name to it, almost everyone has had an experience with God, they just may not realize, especially in today's buzzing society. It's not hard to block anyone out, even Him."

"Everyone experiences God in their own way, so I can't tell you exactly where you might have felt Him, or all the ways you may have, because there are many, but I can suggest some of the ways I have felt Him," Kenny said. He took a breath. "The first time I knew that I was feeling Him, I was in the hospital. I had been in that hospital, even that room, many times before. I was sixteen, and I was ready to give up. When I was younger, I would wake up and feel relieved, because nothing hurt and for the time being I was safe - I felt God then, too, though I didn't realize at the time - but as I grew up, it devolved into a cold dread, because even though those things were still true, I also knew that eventually I would be released from the hospital, and I would have to go home, and eventually I would end up right back in the hospital. I no longer hoped that one of the doctors would tell someone and get me taken away, my father paid people very well to keep that a secret. I didn't hope for anything at all, really, except that it would end. I only saw one way for that to happen, and I was prepared to make it happen. I was almost to hysteria, begging for another way, when I stopped, and this feeling of calmness washed over me. I knew in that moment that everything would be alright. I held onto that feeling, even though I came to doubt having feeling it at all in the next few days, and especially when I was discharged. However, when I went downstairs, it wasn't my father waiting for me. Instead, there was a man there who I had never met before. He told me his name was Rick, and that I would be going with him to a new home. Though I hadn't spoken His name when I asked, I knew that God had answered my prayer. It had taken time, because there were still things I had needed to learn, but when it was time, He saved me."

Amy nodded, thinking about that. "But I'm sure most everyone has had at least one experience like that, haven't they?"

"God speaks to all of us, it is our choice to listen," Kenny said.
