[Gifted]

They could hear the sounds of Hannah and Caroline playing some sort of shooting game together.
"Oh, I hear people!" Hannah grinned and paused the game. The two girls came down to see who'd shown up. "Oh, hey Abigail! Who's your friend?"
"I could ask you the same question." Abigail said, nodding to Caroline with a smile.
Caroline, who'd been slowly coming out of her shell ever since she'd been taken away from her parents and the rest of the world, smiled back at Abigail and spoke. "My name's Caroline, it's nice to meet you."
"I'm Ayane!" Ayane chimed in.
"It's nice to meet you as well." Abigail agreed. "Ayane is a friend of mine from university."

[Raven]

"Caroline goes to school with Hannah as well," Kenny said, grinning. Things were really starting to come together. "I'll make drinks. What does everyone want?" He went to start boiling water.

[Gifted]

"Do you have bubble tea?" Ayane asked.
"What's bubble tea?" Hannah asked. "I'm good with Hot chocolate."
"Whatever's fine, thank you." Caroline answered.
"Regular tea for me, please." Abigail added.

[Raven]

"Sadly not, Ayane. We'll have to try it sometime, though," Kenny said, getting out cups.

[Gifted]

"Aw, alright. Hot chocolate then, please!" Ayane agreed.

[Raven]

Kenny nodded and prepared the drinks, then he brought them to the living room and started his lesson about achieving happiness and peace through faith, figuring it was a safe thing for Ayane's first lesson.

Ayane didn't listen very closely, she was more interested in quietly watching the other girls. All the others were completely absorbed in the sermon. Caroline in particular was hanging on every word Kenny said, outstripping even Hannah in her devotion. If Kenny looked into her mind he'd find it was somewhat out of fear, fear that if she didn't believe and learn and practice what he preached she would be sent back to her old life. That was only a small part of it, however. Most of the reason was extreme gratitude and awe over his ability to rescue her and take her to this wonderful place, and keep her safe here. For him to come out of nowhere like an angel and bring hr to this paradise... well, whatever he wanted her to believe in, she would believe. It was a small price to pay.

Kenny took note of it, but he didn't really mind. Ayane might need some convincing, especially since Abigail was the one to recruit her, meaning he couldn't really do things the way he wanted. After the lesson, he told the girls they were free to do whatever they liked, and requested to talk to her. He didn't mind if any or all of the other girls stayed.

It was clear in her eyes Caroline wanted to hang around, so Hannah asked Abigail if she wanted to come up and play videogames with her. Abigail agreed and the two went back upstairs.
"What is it?" Ayane asked. She wondered what was so special about this man. All the other girls seemed so devoted to him and in what he had to say. And yet they were al so cheerful.

[Raven]

"I just wanted to know what it is that interested you in coming with Abigail," Kenny said. "If you don't mind sharing, that is." He spoke lightly, with a small smile. Clearly this was not something that accused her for not paying attention.

[Gifted]

"Oh," Ayane laughed. "Well, it's just... When Abbey talks about you, her whole face lights up. When she came here she was quiet and nervous, like she didn't trust people or she was scared of something... and she still does a lot, but when she talks about you, she's different. I wanted to see what got her so happy."

[Raven]

Kenny smiled. "Yes, I've noticed that in her. So what do you think of us?" he asked, touching Caroline's hand.

[Gifted]

"I'm not sure yet. It's kind of sweet." Ayane answered.

[Raven]

He smiled. "Well, I'm glad you think so, though I'm not sure it's exactly what I was going for," he said, chuckling.

Ayane laughed. "Then what were you going for?" She asked.
