Both laughed. "Oh really?" Jade sneered.
"Let me be honest, and let e tell you, it's pretty rare for me to be totally honest. You don't have a chance in hell, Kailen." Cody said. He disappeared and reappeared on Kailens other side. "How do you fight what you can't see?"

Kailen tried to kick him. So her mom made stuff explode and her dad was a teleporter? But what did he mean what he couldn't see?

Cody disappeared upon contact and a blow came from behind Kailen to the back of his head.
"Hey hon can you not block my shot next time?" Jade asked.

There was a cry out of pain from Cody, but then suddenly he was in front of Kailen. Jade moved to the side and threw a card at Kailen.

Kailen ducked and hurried out of the way, trying to hit Cody again. If he could at least be sure of what he was seeing, he might be able to take Jade out more easily.

Before he could even come close to connecting he was hit... from the same trajectory as the last punch. Then Jades card exploded.

Kailen was thrown forward again. Damnit. Now he had no idea where the guy was. He got up, turned around and started backing away again. How did he fight something he couldn't see? He couldn't just keep getting beat up. He took a deep breath and that's when it hit him. His other senses. He had no idea why he hadn't thought of it. He closed his eyes and calmed his breath. Feeling wouldn't work out, smelling wasn't happening, but hearing was something he was good at.

Cody, unaware Kailen had figured out his trick, was keeping an illusion up on the opposite sde of Kailen while he himself circled around behind the boy.

Cody was caught by surprise and Kailen managed to get his arm, his reflexes not being as sharp as they used to be. He cied out in pain and his illusions dissapated, allowing Kailen to clearly see the real him.

Cody fell to his knees, clutching his stomach. Jade stepped in to try to stop Kailen and free her husband, throwing a card aimed at Kailen's neck.

Kailen jumped back and turned on her. Cody was down for a minute, and now he'd figured it out, he wouldn't give him too much trouble, but he'd have to stop Jade, our get her to run out of cards. Even supposing she only had one deck that could take a while. She'd lost what, four out of fifty two?

She didn't dare detonate so close to Cody, and so advanced on Kailen without much choice in the matter.
