Xander sighed and did not speak again.
I chose to pretend the whole incident hadn't happened, except for a fairly dumb decision I made a couple hours later.
Joan came over to bother Francis. "Hey Francis, you seen Agent Gifted anywhere?"

Except I had gone far. I'd left the building, going out on my own to the city to retrieve Kenny's sword, hopefully before it was taken back. I wanted to see if it was truly the one I'd had made for myself.

Francis began to look through the whole building, though he had to take it slowly, and found no sign of her. Within ten minutes he was beginning to get concerned and radioed, hoping someone else on the team had seen her, "Hey, has anyone seen Gifted?"
