Kailen's eyes widened at the news. You found the devil? They'd been waiting years for this. Finally everything was going to pay off, or be crushed.
I woke with a pounding headache, and stayed very sill. Did they know I was still alive? Was I supposed to be still alive? If so, what were they planning to do with me? My neck ached even more, and I felt like I'd been hit with a baseball bat. Fear had replaced my excitement.

Raven was locked in a room with a comfortable bed that she'd been set on, and was furnished like a simple bedroom. In fact it could be assumed that it was nothing but a bedroom if not for the bars over the door signifying this was less of a guest room and more of a jail cell.

"I swear to God if you send Harrison Mcroon in here to talk to me, I'll bite his finger off, and know you're all idiots," I hissed when I opened my eyes and looked at my surroundings. "Then I'll laugh when he tries to kill whoever you're using as a general and turns out to be a spy. Because I told you so."

"Who the hell is Harrison Mcroon? Was he in the rebellion that used this base before us?"Rakel asked from the other side of the door. She quickly unlocked it and looked in, switching keys and unlocking the barred door as well.

"Yeah, probably. He's a bastard. Though on record, I suppose, he's tried to kill me less than you have." I humphed.

"I wasn't trying to kill you, I was trying to knock you out. I had our resident medic check you over, you should be fine." She opened the door so Rave could leave. "You could have been God going undercover. I wasn't very well going to let you see where and who we all were and possibly hand a lot of information over to the enemy. I needed you out of the way to check with the spy to make sure you were legit. You were unconscious for about ten minutes, and your friends are okay as well."

I blinked and nodded. "And you've decided I am, then. That's good, because, you know, dying would probably suck, especially if you let me wake up again first... Thank you for not taking that risk," I said, earnestly.

"Kailen said it was still definitely God at the palace, so unless he's grossly mistaken there's no debate that you're the real deal." Rakel smiled. "Come on up and meet the troops."

I opened my mouth to ask more questions, but decided against it. These people had gathered and fought waiting for me, supposedly, and I was acting like an excited child in a toy store. I nodded once. "Let's." I followed Rakel upstairs.

Rakel led her up to the main area of the bunker and it was like a veritable 'Who's who' of my characters. Xander was there obviously, but there was also a Catherine over by the fridge getting something to eat, an older Leia sitting at a dining room table absorbed in painting a new deck, a Zoey and a Victor were sitting and watching television, and Phoebe was playing with a phone in the corner. Surprisingly, it wasn't all good characters on this side either. Vivian sat on the couch in front of the TV on the side Zoey hadn't taken, resting her head against the armrest with her hat over her face like she was trying to sleep. Allison was sitting next to Phoebe giving her gaming tips, and Trace, sitting up at the counter and talking to Catherine, looked just a little bit too old to be safe. It wasn't just my characters either. Ben was there, off talking to Xander. Aaric, Mia and Kumair were hanging around as well. "I'd introduce everyone," Rakel said. "But you probably already know." She smirked.

Aaric was standing behind the couch, leaning against the back of it, behind Zoey, while Mia, who appeared to be around seventeen, sat not-next-to-Trace at the counter, and Kumair sat on the floor, against the dishwasher, eating meat that might have been cooked well enough to be safe. Zach occupied an arm chair, with Katrina curled up on his lap.
I grinned. "I do. I definitely do." I spent several minutes looking around at them all, and the best way to describe how I felt was like a mother goose watching all her babies start flying. A happy bubble formed in my chest. "Do they all know I'm here?"

"Yeah, I told them we found you." Rakel replied. "I don't know if they knowit's specifically you though, but they'll catch on quick enough."

Katrina was the first to notice me come in. Her eyes widened and she hopped up, but she appeared to be unable to speak. I blushed and nodded to her. "So who decides how we're going forward from here?"

"You do, of course." Rakel smirked. "Every single one of us here have pledged to follow you into battle when, where and how you choose."

"Er. Right. I'm setting up an advisory panel." I knew nothing about battle, and though God and I were supposed to be on equal footing, I had the distinct impression that ten years of experience gave her an edge. "You, Xander, Leia, Aaric, and Katrina are on it. I might change that list depending on who else shows up." I'd intentionally picked five people, three of Gifted's and two of mine. In my mind, it made sense to keep it even. For the most part, I'd picked them because I trusted their battle experience. In Katrina's case, it was to remind us all that we had an obligation to everyone to avoid deaths. "And I have a few questions about a few of the people here, as well as a couple other things."
