"I will kill any of Gods men who cross my path, i don't care who they are."
"God's men? What?" Azalynn frowned.
"I have it on good faith Anita Corpez works for God."
"Wait, so you're saying she's at the palace?" Azalynn's eyes widened and Dionysus disappeared. Rakel landed on her feet and rubbed her neck.
"You don't know?"
"No goddammit, my entire fucking family's gone! I've been searching for them for a year!"

[Raven]

It made sense that this God would leave Azalynn out, based on what I knew. "Why ate you fighting God?" I asked. Rakel took things too far, but she did have a reason.

[Gifted]

"Because this so-called God is a tyrant, and if she really is the God in the prophecy then quite frankly I'd rather side with the devil." Rakel hissed.

[Raven]

"Why do you say that?" Quite frankly, from what I'd heard, I was inclined to agree, but that has been from Danielle.

[Gifted]

"Hang on. You mean to tell me you're a devil-worshipper?"
Rakel laughed. "Oh hun, I lead the devil worshippers." She withdrew a cellphone from her pocket. "God has her own personal assassin. She has people dragged back to her palace and murdered without a trial, and none of her followers question her. I refuse to have my life controlled, especially not by someone like her."

[Raven]

"I'm inclined to agree with you." She may be right about some people, but what I'd she ran into a fifteen year old Rick? Not everyone was evil for good. And Rakel had been impartial, even if she had taken measures too drastic. "But aren't you doing the same thing to God's people?"

[Gifted]

"I'm thinning out her army." Rakel replied. "So when the prophecy is fulfilled, the devil will walk out the winner."

[Raven]

"And how will you know the devil when you find him or her?" Oh, I hoped it wouldn't turn out to be Emeric.

[Gifted]

Rakel frowned. "I'm not sure, but there's no way they'll be able to get to God on their own. We just have to wait to offer our assistance when the day comes."

[Raven]

"Then how do you know that the devil isn't, say, part of God's army waiting for the right moment? Or someone you've already met? How do they know that God is God?"

[Gifted]

"How do you not know any of this already? God's abilities are common knowledge." Rakel snapped.

[Raven]

"I'm new around here," I answered. "Humor me."

[Gifted]

Rakel looked over and despite the mask it was pretty obvious she was glaring at you. "You don't even know the prophecy then?"

[Raven]

"Somebody told me, something about God and the devil coming from their respective homes and having a battle and one will win and rule or whatever," I said. "Why do you care, Rakel?"

[Gifted]

"Because that's not right. God has been in power here ten miserable years. Everyone's heard of it by now." Rakel sighed. "They say when the world turns in on itself, when the dead are still living and man meets himself on the same land, God and the devil will fall to earth. The two will gather their followers and whichever one eliminates the other will solely decide the fate of our world." Rakel shook her head.
"Ten years ago... well, the prophecy gives a pretty accurate description of what happened. Places vanished off maps and ended up somewhere else, new cities full of people sprung up out of nowhere as if they'd always been. Multiples of the same person went from impossible to commonplace... there's a general rule here that if you see yourself, don't bother them, but it's broken all the time. I still remember that big epic Ben Belacqua vs Ban Belacqua fight that was on the news..." Azalynn mused.
"Remember it? I work with a Ben Belacqua." Rakel gave a short chuckle, but grew serious again. "Shortly after it all happened, God was found. She has no powers.. at least, that's what all scans by power-readers and machines say. But it isn't true. She needs but one look at your face and she knows everything about you. Your name, your past, your future. Power negators don't affect her. They say she casts judgement based on what she sees. But look at this video and tell me if this is your idea of 'judgement'." She handed Raven the phone with a video on the screen that had been emailed to her months prior. "Our spy took this, in her throne room several months ago."
