Demetra's eyes lit up and she held out the egg, watching. it. Was it going to hatch now? Surely this was too fast? If it was going to hatch, what was in there? Maybe some kind of bug pokemon? Oh, or a nidoran!

Nikola watched it just as intently as Demetra, extremely interested. The egg shook again, and there was a tapping sound. A crack appeared and started to spread, until a chip fell off. Then a bigger one, then a little Azurill forced its way from its protective shell.

Demetra frowned "Huh? What the hell is that?" It looked like one of those pokemon that could be defeated by kicking it across the room. Was this thing all she got for a pokemon?

Nikola pulled out her pokedex. "Azurill, the polka dot Pokemon. Its tail is filled with nutrients necessary for growth. It plays by bouncing on its tail."

"Oh, you have got to be kidding me" Demetra scowled, but she was in no position to turn down a pokemon no matter how sickeningly cutesy and useless it was. She used one of her pokeballs on it and put the ball in her pocket.
