Josh winced but was determined not to say anything. Joan started applying cool water to Gabriels burns.
"Hey is the top of my back burnt?" Gabriel asked her.
Joan frowned. "No, it looks fine to me."
"I didn't think so, but my back hurts." Gabriel shrugged.
"You probably pulled a muscle."
Trying to take his mind off his leg, Josh looked up at Ben. "So Ben, what's the backstory behind you and the leader of the Quirky Miniboss Squad?"
