"Aw, how boring." Cody whispered to his sister as Rick left. "We didn't hear anything at all."

Vladimir shrugged.
"I would make a good food taster as the former king said. I can sew, and I... well I would be an effective assassin, sire."

Jeanne shrugged. "I didn't think I was no one, Alex. I can play with you if you would like."

"You can fight?" Kenny asked.

"I meant no one else, Jeanne. You would know if we'd done duets before." He smiled.

"Yeah," Mia sighed. "Do you think they'd let us watch Rick do his speech? It's really good."

Vladimir shrugged again. "I don't need to, sire, as long as i can touch them or their food. But Inwas trained in basic combat anyways."

Jeanne ruffled his hair playfully. "Well, I know a few we could do. What kind would you like, I suppose is a better question."

"Doubt it. We're never allowed in the room with the cameras set up remember?" Cody sighed.

"I like hard songs," Alex said.

"What do you enjoy doing?" Kenny asked.

"It's a stupid rule, and dad is busy. Maybe they'll let us just once if we promise to be quiet," Mia said, frowning.

Jeanne thought and picked a suitably difficult duet, the duet from the movie Corpse Bride, and began to teach him his part

Vlad thought silently before hesitantly responding with, "I love working with rose plants... and making clothes..." he muttered.

"Or we could just not let them know we're in there." Cody said mischievously.

"We have gardens in the back, no one particularly cares to take care of them. You can do that, and help the seamstresses. Your first job is to make you some clothes that fit you better. Whatever you'd like to wear," Kenny said.

"Don't you think they'd notice?" Mia asked.

Alex learned quickly, but paused when he was playing his part through and listened, even though she wasn't yet playing.

Jeanne noticed this, and stopped. "Something the matter?"

Vladimir nodded slowly and looked up slightly. "..I... I do not know what I would make for myself, sire, that would not be a dress.."

Mia nodded. Cody could talk her into just about anything, no matter how worried she was. "Alright, lead the way."

"Alright!" Cody cried gleefully, He led her down the hall and they slipped into the room stealthily in the middle of Ricks speech.

Mia watched in admiration from the shadows, holding her brother's hand. Rick was so cool.

"Do you ever get bored of all this?" Alex asked, quietly, as he began to play a song he'd mastered almost two months ago.

Vlad nodded. "Anything else, sire?" He asked softly

Jeanne sighed and absentmindedly played a harmony to it.
"Sometimes. I never, however, get bored of teaching you." She added.
