Desmond saw her head turned and call out, "shit" he dove behind a bush hoping noone would catch his movement, "why the hell are there people all the way out here" he was just kind of muttering and sticking to the shadow of one of the trees.

Melanie avoided looking at her, but she seemed very uncomfortable. It took her a while to answer at all, and when she did she was barely audible. "H-he'd come into my r-room at night, a-a-an-an-nd." Melanie couldn't say anything else, she had begun to cry too hard.

Brookelynn nodded. She could put the pieces together. "Shh..." she told her, while touching her back. "You're okay now, he can't get you now..." Melanie was crying hysterically, and that's all Brookelynn could think to say to console her.

After Melanie had calmed down, she asked, "Promise?" She had moved closer to Brookelynn, pressing into the girl.
