Justin was shocked when the man he was supposed to be finding dashed out from behind a tree. Shit. He'd forgotten they'd stolen back a couple of Adams pokemon from the police station. He ought to have been more prudent. Oh well, nothing to do about it now.
Scrafty went to retaliate but Justin called him back to his pokeball before he could inflict any more damage to the eelecktross.
"Adam Clark, just the man I wanted to see!" He grinned and headed ovr. "Sorry about that. I was training, didn't know there was anyone else out here." He explained. "How 'bout I buy you a drink to make up for it?"

"I'm glad he's back. Whether he's telling the truth or not. He's been helping a lot with my dad," Kenny said.

Adam stared at Justin unhappily, his pokemon bristling at his sides. "No, thank you," he said. He couldn't even remember the guy's name after two years.

Cynthia was immediately in the center, in between Lapras and Houndoom trying to pull the bluff she could take and ice beam, even though the damage it would inflict would be 400% because of double typing disadvantage. She was standing defensively prepared to take any attack aimed at the pokemon across from them, hoping to avoid a battle. Quincy stood up as well, "Now now Ryan, lets all settle down a little bit. Ivy is Lia okay? Cynthia its alright you can relax, no-one attacking anyone, it wont solve anything" as he was finishing his sentence he turned his head to maria "alright?" he was nodding at her trying to get her to do the same, assuring she wont attack and cynthia was still standing slightly covering her face with her wings bracing for an impact that may come. As both Cynthia and Quincy thought it was better to take a resisted fire blast then have an all out pokemon battle between the two trainers, an ice beam however would be rather nasty.. and would probably result in a one hit ko.

"Well, I'm glad you're happy." Roseane said.

"C'mon, the other guys would love to see you again." Justin told him. "We've all been waiting for ya to come back. It'll be a party."

"I won't stand for someone attacking my pokemon in my own house. Sneasel was startled," Ryan said calmly to Maria. "I have no trouble with you, and I encourage you to stand down."

"I'll make sure he doesn't bother you, Roseanne. I will," Kenny said.

Adam shook his head. "I'm sure they would. I'm not going."

Roseanne smiled. "Thank you Kenny. Don't worry too much on my behalf, okay?"

"What?" Justin frowned. This was what they'd been afraid of.

"I'm. Not. Going," Adam repeated slowly.

"Of course I will. You're my best friend," Kenny said. Really, she was his only friend.

"You're not coming back?" His voice was much less friendly this time.

"I don't want to worry you is all. Your life is complicated enough."

[Raven]

"No," Adam answered. "I'm not."

"It doesn't help me any to spend all my time thinking about my life, Roseanne. I can't change it. I can help you," Kenny said.

"I'm sure my parents wouldn't mind if you moved in here, you know." Roseanne said. "You don't have to go back."

There was a long and awkward pause where the possibility of Justin attacking Adam seemed to hang tangibly on the air. Then Justin laughed. "Oh I get it. You just need a little more time, that's all. No problem." Though his tone was friendly, his words definitely implied a threat; he would be back. "See you around, Adam." He was off without another word.

Adam shivered. "I'm not going back," he said to himself.

"He'd come for me," Kenny replied bleakly.

"And we'd call the cops on him." Roseanne said firmly. "Sure, Adam's contacts could probably spring the guy from jail, but it'd teach him a lesson."

[Raven]

Kenny shook his head. "My dad's too rich to spend a night in jail," he said, leaning against the wall. "And he'd only lock me in my room for a week and break my arm when he lets me out."

"You know you're technically old enough to move out and he can't stop you anyway, right?" Roseanne pointed out.

"By the law," Kenny said.
