Liz made her way over to the man shouting about first years. Eric traded Moriarty for her trunk, and knelt to her level. He gave a dramatic pause before saying, "Be good," and patting her on the back. Eric left with their owl and his trunk to follow Ryan.
"Let's feed Lynn to the squid," he suggested with a smirk.

August had trouble getting her trunk off but an older student saw her struggling and with a flip of their wand her trunk was weightless. Before she could thank him he was gone and left. She put her trunk on the pile and slipped Ngaio into her pocket "Stay there," She said to the lizard. She then joined the twins and said "I'll cover for you if you need it," she was referring to them talking about all of the pranks and tricks.

"It won't be competition, my dear first years. I'm experienced. You can't pull practiced pranks without knowledge of spells, and of Hogwarts," Ryan said as he passed the twins, having dropped his trunk near Logan. He chuckled at Eric's suggestion. "Naww. I wouldn't do that to my sister. Maybe Beatrice, but not Lynn." He started towards the carriages, then stopped dead in his tracks. "What are those things pulling the carriages?" he asked Eric.
Logan waited for all the first years to gather.

Wesley laughed. "My bro's just a worrywort."
"Thanks, but it probably wouldn't be fair," Tanner said. "To you or the teachers we'll mess with,"| he grinned at his brother.
Wesley just shook his head, amused. "Hey, lay off," he added to Ryan, though he didn't sound angry. "We hold off for the first couple weeks, get to know the place, same as back at home. Case the joint," he laughed.

August looked at the twins and said "Could I ride with you two to the school?" She couldn't help but feel a bit scared. She no longer had an adult watching her every move, she was to make her own choices now.

Ericken glanced at the devilish horses in charge of the carriages. He had caught a glimpse of them his first year, and nearly freaked out his second year when he road the carriage, but by now he was used to them. "... thestrals?" he guessed.
Liz looked up at Logan, clutching the handles of her trunk.

"How'd you know that..? And why aren't the carriages pulling themselves like normal?" Ryan asked, too surprised by the thestrals to notice the twins.
Astin and Lynn stood side by side, waiting for Logan. "Put those down, Liz," Lynn said.
The Keeper of Keys and Grounds finally spoke again. "Alright, first years, this way to the boats!" he said, leading them to said boats. "Only three per boat!" He climbed into his own.

"Because I asked what they were in my second year," Eric replied, looking at the fierce horses, "You mean you've never seen them before? I've seen them since I came here..."
Liz glanced at Lynn, then shook her head. "I can carry them," she replied. When Logan spoke, she looked up at him, and quickly followed to the boats, dragging her trunk along behind her. She glanced nervously at all the little boats, wondering how they would propel them without oars.

August looked at the two and said "Thanks," She smiled and as he announced for a boat he started moving toward the boat with them, not letting herself get separated.

"Awesome!" Wesley said, jumping immeaditley into the front of the boat. Tanner stood back to let August get in first.

August got in quickly so Tanner could get in "Thank you," she sat in the middle so Tanner could get in without tipping the boat.

"You're supposed to leave your trunks, Liz. You'll sink the boats," Lynn said.
Violet had been lost in the crowd, and now she attempted to find her new friends.
"Fuck no, I've never seen them before. They haven't been there before!" Ryan replied, still stationary.

"Yes they have!" Eric replied, moving towards the carriages, "What's wrong with you, Ry?"
