Eric nodded, and straightened up to his full height. "Onwards!" he exclaimed, and, with a dramatic flourish of his robes, started back towards their compartment.
Liz watched Lynn sob, feeling only a little bad for her.

Jenna stopped and sighed, going in an empty compartment and changing hastily into a new skirt. "Mum and dad are going to have a cow."

Ryan linked arms with Eric, marching back to their compartment at his friend's side. Astin followed.
Lynn finally stopped crying, instead scowling. Once the scowl faded, she spoke, "Can I see your wand?"

Eric managed to get back to their compartment without trouble, as most people were in line for the bathrooms. He couldn't help but smile at their marching.
Liz looked fearfully at Lynn. She pulled her reed wand out of her robe pocket and handed it to Lynn, holding it lightly by the end.

Jenna saw the two boys on her way, then scowled, pondering what to do. She'd get back at them later.

"So, Eric, how was your summer?" Ryan asked as they marched.
Lynn examined it, smiling. "What's the core?" she asked, looking up at Liz.

"Spent it at Catholic school," Eric repeated from earlier, "It was terrible. The only good part was getting Liz's school supplies. How was yours?"
Liz looked up, trying to remember what it was, then looked back at Lynn. "Feathers from the crest of a phoenix," she replied proudly.

Ryan shrugged. "I spent it in my room. It was alright, I guess. But coming to school is always the best part, ironically."
Lynn smiled, pulling her own wand own and giving it to Liz. "Mine's phoenix too. What's the wood?"

"Coming to Hogwarts' the best part for me, too," Ericken sighed. He let silence hang between them for a few moments before glancing at Ryan. "Do you even know what Catholic school is?"
Liz carefully examined Lynn's wand, noting how it was much prettier than her own. "It's made of reed," she replied, hoping Lynn wouldn't snap her wand in two.

"Umm, no.. What is it?" Ryan asked. "It sounds weird."
"Mine is willow," Lynn said, smiling, and handed Liz's wand back.

Jenna decided to leave Rodrik, as he had left her earlier. She went back to her compartment, cussing.

Eric sighed. Sometimes, he wondered how he and Ryan remained friends, even though they were from completely different worlds. "It's like regular muggle school," he explained, "But they teach you to fear God and all that. Do wizards go to church?"
Liz nodded, smiled, and handed Lynn's wand back to her. "I think willow's a pretty wood," she said.

"No. God doesn't exist. It's just something muggles made up to explain some things stupid wizards did in the past," Ryan answered.
Lynn smiled. "So's reed. Reed is more powerful, though. Willow is a weepy wood," she said.

Royce sat back in his seat in the empty booth, listening to all the talk going on outside in the other booths. He slipped onto the train without much difficulty, infact, hardly even being noticed by most everyone. He isn't the most social of people, as in, he really needs to be approched by people and doesn't try to go up to others. He took out a small chocolate bar and nibbled on the top part. He had always liked muggle food.

"..." Eric didn't really have a response for that. As much as he hated Catholic school, he still wanted to believe in the presence of a god. Thinking of all the miracles as acts of magic just ruined it. He nodded, and sighed.
"But," Liz said, "I really like your wand. It's overall much prettier than mine. Especially all the carvings and things..."
